“Stylish Boutique Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

When I found this boutique hotel online before we left for Canada, it was job done... This was the hotel for me, and as for a similar price to other hotel's in the area, this hotel stood out from the rest. We arrived by hire car and we pe-booked valet parking at the hotel before we left for Canada. After a couple of circles around the hotel, not really sure where to park, I noticed a small white sign indicating where to park, and was then greeted by a member of staff who removed our cases from our car. If you book valet parking, on your arrival, locate the main entrance to the hotel, and to the side street, is where you drop your car off which is on the road. There are one or two signs but they don't jump out at you, so you can easily miss them... And ignore the car park next to the hotel.

Check-in was quick, and our luggage was taken to our room. As mentioned by other guests, your keycard is for your level so when entering the lift to go up to your floor, scan your card and then press your floor number. Our room was a 'classic room' and for a hotel bedroom, we thought it was so beautiful, stylish decoration with high quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. We had free high-speed wifi in our bedroom which was fantastic - at last a hotel which allows you to have it your bedroom and for free... Excellent touch! There was a well stocked mini bar, a selection of nibbles and a small bottle of red wine ready with glasses, cork crew etc all for a fee however, complimentary in our room was two bottles of water and good quality coffee pods for the coffee machine. In the evenings, we had a turn down service, our bottled water if used would be replaced as well as the coffee, milk & cream pots finished with chocolate placed on our bed.

The bed's were fantastic and I loved the pillows, again you could feel the quality in everything from the furniture to the linen. The bathroom was very sweet, quaint light's, marble his'n'her's sinks with plenty of chunky white towels not forgetting the bathrobes. We didn't eat in the hotel, we ate out but reading the menu, the food on offer sounded very nice, and the restaurant looked stylish and cosy. Next to reception is a vending machine area tucked away and there's many things on offer plus a complimentary hot drinks machine, which if you like hot chocolate, you must then try the swiss hot chocolate, it's delicious. The pool is area is small but it fit's in with the size of the hotel, and I can imagine in summer with plants around the pool that its a nice city retreat. If your wanting to eat out try The Keg, our second visit to this chain whilst in Canada, fantastic every time and about a 5-10 minute walk away from the hotel.

We highly recommend this hotel, if only other hotel's would use their method and put more style and thought into their design and offerings. A lovely and cosy hotel in a fantastic location, perfect for a romantic break, business or sight seeing.

Room Tip: We had a classic room and it was a great size

My wife and myself stayed there for 5 nights and the hotel was fantastic. Great location in downtown. Wonderfully clean rooms, and very spacious. The staff were fantastic. Very friendly and always ready to help. The outdoor pool on the second floor was perfect. Nice and warm on a chilly night. They also have a Bistro on the main floor and ate breakfast there. Fast, friendly and excellent food.
A big thanks to Luc Bourassa for all his help in booking all our rooms for our Trauma Conference. Would definitely stay there again when in Montreal. Two thumbs up!!!

Room Tip: Rooms with electric fireplace are the best.

My 13-year-old daughter and I lodged at this hotel from 4/5 - 4/9/14. The hotel was immaculately maintained. All public areas (lobby, elevators, etc.) were clean and well kept. Our room was the cleanest I've encountered during my travels. I have a minor case of OCD and can usually find some area in need of improvement when it comes to the cleanliness of hotel rooms. I could find nothing to complain about in this suite. The service staff were always attentive and polite. A snack cart is brought around to each room every day around 6p including water, Pierrie, chips, cookies, gum…you name it, they had it on the cart. The room was always well-stocked with complementary water. This is the first hotel I've experienced this service at. Room service was a bit pricey. I ordered a seafood salad and a brownie dessert which cost around $75 including 15% gratuity. The salad was fresh, however, it wasn't as flavorful as I would've liked. The location of the hotel was excellent. Right across the street is Peel Metro and on the block behind the hotel on St. Catherine is a Tim Horton coffee shop. There are plenty of restaurants and retail shopping within walking distance. The noise level either inside or outside of the hotel was never an issue. There was alway fresh fruit on a tray right outside our room at all times. I am happy to have had an opportunity to lodge at this hotel. I will definitely lodge at Le St.-Martin every time I visit Montreal.

We have stayed here multiple times. And the rooms are clean. They are the expected size, not too big and not too small. However the location is unbeatable, you can get into the underground shopping across the street. Reuben's is just a short walk. Staff is hit and miss, it seems the managers are a little snooty. Always our number 1 choice when staying downtown Montreal.

We stayed at this hotel for a single night in September 2013. Really nice boutique hotel. I must admit that the reception was very snobby and English only, come on we are in the province of Quebec. We didn't get a any serious attention from the receptionist since we're young. But above all the room was nice and once you've made it through the lobby folks it's a great place to enjoy a romantic evening. Oh yeah almost forgot it's a lap pool and don't believe anything else.

What a great weekend. We had a good weekend here at this fabulous hotel. It was our first time here. The staff at the front check in were extremely helpful with restaurant choices for us. Patricia provided us with a list of restaurants to visit. Marco was a great pleasure to meet. Our rooms were first class. The hotel is in a perfect location, so you can walk everywhere. It's a great getaway to go with another couple. We also enjoyed eating at Dunns, which is just around the corner. A must also. Had a good afternoon at the Peel Pub. Certainly did tons of walking to visit the many churches and take in the charm of this city. Would return when it's not so cold!!
