“Best hotel in Montreal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

This is by far the best, recently remodeled hotel in Montreal. The rooms are very nice. The restaurant/bar is great, and the service is spectacular! We have always been greeted with champagne and superb service upon arriving. I would not stay anywhere else in the city. You can walk across the street to access the Metro, and are within walking distance to superb restaurants.

If you're visiting Montreal, this is the place to be. I've stayed in other nice properties downtown but what separated Le St. Martin was the engaging and personalized attention from the staff in addition to the excellent restaurant downstairs. Nikki at the front desk is a Montreal connoisseur and took the time to break down every neighborhood, while giving excellent recommendations for dining and nightlife. Michael checked me in and was very friendly and professional. Frederic was extremely gracious, taking me on a personalized tour of the amenities. Valet staff is efficient and friendly as well, helping me with directions around town.

L'Aromate is a top of the line restaurant located in the hotel. The omelettes are excellent and reasonably priced. I also didn't encounter the noise issues described below. The hotel is a 20 minute walk to the old city and 10 minutes from the festivals at Place De Arts. Also a stone's throw from Mont Royal and the nightlife on Crescent.

I'll stay nowhere else on future trips to MTL. Very pleased overall.

A great hotel in a great location. I stayed in a double room on the 15th floor facing Maisonneuve. I expected it to be loud but it wasn't at all. The bed was amazingly comfy and coupled with the black-out blinds, it made for a great night's sleep. And for once, the coffee provided in the room was actually delicious, with real milk and cream rather than the gross coffee-mate stuff most hotels offer. The only thing I didn't love was the lighting in the bathroom - WAY too dim for putting on make-up. Added lights above the mirrors would make a big difference!

Stayed there the weekend of June 14th. Nicely styled rooms with modern decor. the bathroom was nice with double sinks and steaming hot water in the shower. The weirdest thing is the sliding wall panel which opens up the shower to the bedroom. My friends and I had some good laughs about it. I'm still not quite sure the purpose is.
The Hotel location is parallel to St. Catherines so you are close to all the shopping and the restaurants on Crescent.
Special thanks to the concierge Tom, who was a life saver when we left a cellphone in the taxi. He was extremely helpful. i would stay at this hotel for my next trip to MTL

Great stay weekend of Jun 14-16....

Hotel: good service, clean room with a very comfortable bed (I had a king sized bed), bar fridge which came in handy. 2 complimentary coffees in your room with coffee maker. Nice heated pool on the 2nd floor. Hotel restaurant was good but pricey.

I would valet park for $29 a night as most lots you have to top up payment by 4am or 8am. I thought it was easier to valet and have in and out priveleges although you likely wouldn't need to since most things are walking distance.

Location: Peel n Maisonneuve...less than 5min walk to all the wonderful shopping on st catherine. Simons dept. Store is steps away from the hotel.

Crescent street with all the pubs is a few blocks away. $10 cab ride to the clubbing district on st laurent. This weekend was a street festival so the street was closed down. Tokyo club and Muzik (I think its called) were both pretty good.

A few blocks down on st catherine was crepe paris....gotta get a crepe there, was delicious....suggest strawberry and nutella.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Good location, comfortable clean n modern rooms.

I have stayed here for a business trip several times and it is a fantastic hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, restaurant breakfast (included for me) is always excellent, and staff is very friendly. Bar is a bit expensive with limited beer selection, but still very nice.

This is the WORSE hotel experience I have ever experienced! Impatient and rude staff from the get go. But the worse and I mean WORSE thing about this hotel is the NOISE. Sleeping in the room is no different than sleeping outside. Every sneeze, every whisper of ANYTHING walking outside is heard and amplified in the room. Whoever designed this fine establishment was too CHEAP or too STUPID NOT to implement sound proof windows considering this hotel is in the center of downtown. STEAR CLEAR of this DUMP!

Room Tip: All rooms are noisy. This hotel is a noise infestation!
