I travel a lot and this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, especially for the price. The staff were amazing and very accommodating (my friend arrived in the morning and check in isn't until the late afternoon but they let us into the room early free of charge), free breakfast which was fantastic (croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles!), free wifi, the rooms and shower were small but nice but my friend and I weren't planning on spending a lot of time in the room anyways. The location was great; it is right in front of a really cute bar and behind the hotel there are plenty of stores, like shoppers drug mart, some restaurants, dollarama. I was very pleased with how close it is to the metro (2 minute walk) and the bus coach terminal (5 min walk at most).

This was a pretty nice hotel with very nice staff. The location was alright for seeing that area of Monteal, but not great. Parking was convenient enough. The room was clean and adequate, but we had to wait outside for around 20 minutes for management to let us in upon arrival. It did not seem like there was staff on hand 24/7.

this is 100% my fault for choosing such a imitation hotel.
i found a 'special price' online... and for some reason i went with it.
(you get what u pay for... in this case.... half a hotel room)

first there is no parking... and unless you want to walk several blocks u must wake up early and move your car or feed the meter.

there is no way into the lobby... just a bell... u may have to wait outside for a bit. CHECK IN EARLY... otherwise u may not get a room at all.

the rooms are tiny... upon first entering it smelled soo bad i gagged and had to leave.
i went to buy febreeze air freshener and i emptied the entire bottle on the floor, curtains, bed, and walls. the whole room was wet with febreeze... then i left for several hours.

the BED... its not a real bed... more of a cot... felt like i was sleeping on a fold out couch!
my gf and i both were wedged into the middle of the sinking mattress.. i woke up extra early to get ready and leave... in the morning you can see how NOT CLEAN the bathroom is.

whatever... its a cheap hotel by the bus station... but im sure some are better

this is a fake hotel made of cheap beds and cheap furniture :(

Room Tip: if ur room is too hot u can open a window

The money to value ration is good. However the owners are not professionals and unfortunately you can figure this out quite soon. The breakfast quality is below standard and the breakfast room cannot fit more than 4 people.

Nice owners, very friendly and helpful.
Hotel stay Centre Ville is well located (bars, restaurants, cafes) but also very close to the gay scene.
The room are not very spacious but very clean. If you are in Montreal for a few nights, I'd definitely recommand this hotel.

I attempted to cancel a booking I had made with these owners as per my booking agreement which was permissible through hostelbookers, the agency that had made the booking. Cancellation policy stated that I had to contact the owners to cancel the booking. The owners of Hotel Stay Centre Ville refused to honor the terms of the booking agreement and actually misled me. When I attempted by telephone to request cancellation, these individuals would hang up on me, not return my voice mail messages, screen and avoid my calls, and make excuses that they were busy, then put me on hold and hang up on me. I eventually had to ask hostelbookers to intervene on my behalf, which they did. The owner characters that run this place are unprofessional, arrogant, rude, self serving, and unscrupulous. There are better properties in the Montreal area for your vacation needs if you value respect, honesty, professionalism, and peace of mind. Avoid, avoid this place!
