“It`s Montreal`s Icon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Best time to go is at night. People from small towns enjoy `the lights` I think the City should come up with more developments and make it worth while. More parking could be added.

“A beautiful scenic trek in the heart of Montreal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Mount Royal is a really beautiful place and it seems to be the go to place to go for a job, ride a bike or just lounge around in the park. I was there when the snows were still melting and it was already awash with people. It offers some fantastic views of Montreal when you get to the top. If you can, try and take the long winding road around rather than the steeper shortcut up the stairs to reach the top, you'll see more scenery and it will ultimately be more rewarding. It's a pity that the building at the top of the scenic lookout houses nothing at all, and I think an exhibition about Jacques Cartier's trek up the mountain or something similar would have been appropriate here, but this is minor so just enjoy the view.

“A great afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

I spent the afternoon hiking and taking photographs around the park. I saw plenty of squirrels and raccoons and had wonderful views of the city. The people around were friendly. The temperature was cold but the sky's clear.

I had to pay for parking - they accept credit cards for parking payments.

“Popular Jaunt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

Mount Royal is large park set up around the mountain (760 ft.) for which Montreal is named. There is a nice sturdy staircase with fairly shallow stairs and a strong railing and at the top, there is a lodge with food from machines and a bathroom.

I went in good weather and there was a large, cheery crowd.
