“Great For Family's ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

This bio dome is great for family's. It is just outside of old Montreal (about 10 minutes)The entire thing is on the inside of the dome next to the planaterrium witch is connected by a tunnel. The exhibits include birds, fish, penguins (the favorite of the group). Would recommend this to other groups.

“A great way to spend the afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

We came to the Biodome as it was highly recommended and we weren't disappointed. There were a large number of people attending, but the line to pay wasn't too bad. The biodome is divided up into four ecosystems such as the tropical jungle, the South Pole, a Canadian forest and a hands-on display; all in one facility. Animals from each of the systems could be spotted. I especially enjoyed watching the penguins and their antics. If you have children, this is the exhibit to go to. Somewhat pricy, but very educational. Very close to the planetarium, botanical gardens and Olympic stadium. The Metro is just a block away.

“Good Place for Families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

My husband is from the Montreal area and this is one of the first places we went to when we started dating. I love animals of all kind and I really enjoyed the Biodome. I love that you're basically walking in an open area with animals in a way that feels really natural and open. The only animals that were behind glass was the Arctic exhibit because it would have been too cold. However, it's possible to get right up to the glass and see the penguins right on the other side. They,re very curious and would come right to the glass to see the families. Kids loved it.

Whenever we go up to Montreal we make time for the Biodome. We try to take as much family there as we can because it's a great family attraction.

“More Animals Needed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

We paid 15.00 to park in a very low ceiling garage. We bought our tickets with a AAA discount. The only thing interesting was the four Eco- systems . There were a variety of species of birds, bats, fish, and of course our favorite "penguins". Other than a room filled with fossils and a room that had real animals that were stuffed in glass enclosed cases, there was nothing impressive about this "zoo". I would change the name and call it an aquarium! That is exactly what it was!

“Good family fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

The crowds can be a bit daunting, but otherwise a fun place for the whole family. Some of the animals can be a bit hard to spot, after all they are in their own "natural" environment. If you have kids be sure to check out the downstairs area (it's easy to miss), it's a little more interactive, you get to do things like handle wale bones and such.
Be sure to buy your tickets on line, you get to bypass the massive lineup and go straight in.
