“Nice Museum with a large collection of objects”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

This is a really nice museum, when I visited they were re-organizing their exhibits, so most of it was closed.
The collection of First Nation objects is excellent.

“A snapshot of Montreal and more”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

After a long day of wandering around Montreal, we finished off with a relaxing stroll through this small museum. Since it was Wednesday after 5:00, admission was free, but what we saw, was well worth paying for. We focused on the Claire Beaugrand-Champagne exhibit which is a large collection of photos taken by this photo-journalist. Her subjects range widely from politically significant situations of recent decades, to heart-breaking scenes from refugee camps, whimsical family photos, and pets with their owners. My favourite photos were the snapshots of interesting Montreal residents, which were accompanied by short write-ups of their personal lives.
Other exhibits included an aerial view of Montreal and a toy exhibit.

“Small museum but worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

We went to the Claire Beaugrand-Champagne photography exhibit which was very good. Interesting photos and they evoked various emotions. One photo almost had me in tears. Her subjects are diverse and interesting. We visited the rest of the museum and also enjoyed the permanent exhibit about Montreal.

“First Natives History from their point of view.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

When we visited the museum, the museum was showcasing photos of Aboriginles [ Now called First Natives]. Thier Art and Thier wooden and stone sculptures. As an Indian myself, I was overwhelmed by the varied and vast collection of Native History. I learnt a lot about the lives of the original inhabitants and have come to respect thier Pagan Culture with all my heart. Anybody who wishes to have even a glimpse of Canada Before the advent of Europeans should SHOULD visit this museum.
