My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights with our 3 grandchildren. Overall we were pleased with the hotel and our room, although the “Junior Suite” was misnamed. We thought we were getting 2 rooms separated by a half wall but it was just one big room with two queen size beds and a sofa bed. Also had a fridge and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable but the sofa bed was NOT. However our granddaughter took it without complaint. Our room on the ninth floor, Crescent St. side, had a balcony and a nice view of the city and we were high enough that street noise was muffled. The room was clean and modern. This is a hotel where the rooms are nicer than the outside leads you to expect.
We were pleased that they let us check in early (12 noon) but not happy when we returned on the following day, having been gone from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., to find the room had not been cleaned. Someone showed up about 15 minutes later so we just got fresh towels and emptied the garbage. There are 2 small elevators which are often very slow, especially at breakfast. The free breakfast includes hot items and is quite good as free breakfasts go.
There are many restaurants nearby – we tried and recommend “Les 3 Brosseurs” and the take-out crepe place across from it. The mention below of Tim Hortons & Starbucks puzzles me as I didn't see them and there is only 1 Quality Inn on Crescent St. The hotel is close to shopping on Ste. Catherine St. and not far from McGill University and Mount Royal. Even if you don’t go inside, check out the sculptures around Musée des Beaux-Arts.
At a cost of $139 a night we were quite satisfied with this hotel and we love Montreal!
