“Modern amenities & old world charm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2012

This is a fabulous little gem in the heart of Old Montreal, within walking distance of great restaurants and entertainment for children (museum) and adults alike. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Rooms had exposed brick, high ceilings and hardwood - rustic but modern. Stayed in suite facing river and rented loft for extended stay as well - both great experiences. Continental breakfast included. Would not hesitate to stay here in future.

Room Tip: River view - south facing and higher. Elevator is a little slow though, so be patient.

Stayed one night at Auberge du Vieux-Port and I have to say that from start to finish it was more then we could have imagined.
The hotel staff was wonderful and friendly.
Our room was fantastic with hardwood floors and exposed beams. It is Old Montreal at it's best.
Snowed all night and we were hoping we would be snowed in so that we would have to stay another night.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the port.

This hotel is in a great position in the heart of old Montreal. Very comfortable beds and nice fittings. There are loads of restaurants and things to explore around the port. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Next time I would choose the king room it was only a few dollars more, but from what I could see muc...

From the second I walked through the door this staff of this hotel made me feel at home. Everyone treated me and my wife great! The hotel room was very large and very cozy. The duvets are so comfy! We did not want to leave our beds when we woke up. The staff are TOP NOTCH!!

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights from Feb 18 to Feb 20. A very small property in the Old Montreal area but very well appointed and absolutely charming.

The staff was attentive and friendly and provided excellent service.

I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights this past weekend. After retaing some reviews..... we were a bit apprehensive, but from the first moment we arrived at the hotel we were at ease. Michaele greeted us at the door and was so friendly. He always went out of his way to help us and make sure our stay was going well. We felt as if we had known him forever. Then there was our concierge upon arrival.... his name was Trifon and he did an excellent job at recommending restaurants and things to see while we were in Montreal. These two employees are a huge asset to the Auberge du Viuex Port. The breakfast was not elaborate..... but quite nice and of course is included in your stay..... so who can complain about that. Any concerns we had were addressed immediately and the employees always seemed genuinely concerned about us. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Montreal! Oh.... and by the way..... the bed was super comfortable in Room 302 which was a premier river view king bed room. It was lovely. Thanks again to Michaele and Trifon for making our stay so wonderful!

Stayed for one night on the weekend a couple of weeks ago, definitely would recommend this to anyone going. This time i was with friends, but it is very convenient for couples and families as well. The best part is the location, you can just walk out to cobblestone streets of Old Montreal and visit the small shops, restaurants, patisseries! Also, the main area of Old Port which had a festival when we were visiting.

The staff was extremely friendly and courteous, the rooms were clean and spacious, would definitely stay here again.
