“An Absolute Gem In Old Montreal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

We stayed at Le Petit Hotel in May 2103. We found it absolutely charming. The staff are young and hip, the rooms a perfect mix of the old city with modern comforts, the beds and bedding a dream. Perfectly located in le vieux port, just around the corner from Garde Manger and down the street from Le Bremner, one block over from l'assemoir, a short hop from Olive and Gourmando, and on and on and on. A perfect island to leave your towel on when you go swimming in Montreal. To everyone at le Petit Hotel, we send our thanks with much affection, and hope to see you soon.

Room Tip: We had a large room facing the front street, and loved it. Don't be shy about street noise. Yo...

Stayed two nights here in the Old Port area of Montreal- just gorgeous in every way, especially the friendly staff who are so lovely and welcoming. Wonderful location near an array of restaurants and interesting parts of the city. Use the 747 bus from the Airport for $9 pp and hold onto your ticket for use on public transport for first 24 hours in Montreal. (Alight at Stop No 8 and it's a short walk.) Room wasn't large but comfortable bed, and yummy breakfast. Tea and coffee readily available in Lobby. And best of all were the use of the hotel's bikes for us to explore nearby Isle Notre Dame and Isle Sainte Hélène. Cannot compliment the staff here enough for a wonderful, restful stay! Merci beaucoup.

Perfect location. Delightful and helpful staff. Rooms were great with comfortable beds and bedding. Great Shower!! Breakfast was more than adequate with specialty coffee's available. Again, to mention the staff. They were always friendly, attentive and helpful with restaurant suggestions. The overall experience just made us feel special.

Le Petit Hotel is in a beautiful and vibrant area of Montreal. Modern and pleasantly appointed rooms with small but very functional bathrom. Wifi was a bit intermittent - some areas in the room picked it up better than others. The team handling reception were fabulous. They went out of their way to be helpful with suggestions of things to do throughout our stay in Canada. They even helped us to retrieve my son's mobile phone from a taxi after we had left the hotel!
On the down-side, the breakfast room is a little too small for the number of guests, making the breakfast experience a little uncomfortable. I would definitely go back.

My husband and I recently stayed at Le Petit Hotel to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful stay. I had spotted this lovely boutique hotel on 'old Montreal' last summer when we were staying somewhere else, and thought it be a great spot to come without the kids. We stayed in what they call a 'large' room, and it was a good size. It was a clean, comfortable room, comfortable bed and great shower! I liked the exposed brick walls, and color palette. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast, which wasn't much, but sufficient. A few times we brought lattes or pots of tea to enjoy in the room. I drink a lot of coffee, and found these lattes to be excellent. The staff were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I like staying in the Old part of town, and this was an excellent location in that regard. We took the Metro quite a bit; the closest stop is less than a 10 min walk away. It was nice to be close to the port area too. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Boutiquey hotel, friendly, helpful and efficient staff on the desk. Nice cool ambience all round in a great location. Fabulous showers, large beds, great attention to detail in the rooms. Largest croissants I've ever seen!

We always look for small hotels in good locations and this worked perfectly for us. The staff was very helpful with all of our needs from the breakfast to directions to restaurant recommendations. We stayed in an extra large room and we had more than enough space. The shower was amazing with multiple shower heads. I would recommend getting a room away from the street as the street cleaners come by at 7am daily. Minor issue, however, compared to all the great things about the hotel. Would certainly stay here again.
