“Amazing breakfast options - fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Following a work trip we were looking for a nice breakfast outside of our hotel. Nothing much came up in our searches, so we just wandered down to the Old Town and saw that this place was surprisingly busy for 9am on a Sunday - a good sign!

In we went and we weren't disappointed. The super assiette was delicious, and portion size enormous - really set us all up for the day. I agree the service was a little grumpy, but we just took that as just an act so as to be fully representative of a typical "French" market LOL (and certainly not usual for Montreal where everyone is so friendly!). Indeed, on paying we asked a few questions about what to do in the local area and the staff were very helpful.

Recommended if you want a big early morning feed (at $12.75 for most large dishes I don't this is too expensive.....you won't need to eat again for the whole day!)

“Overpriced for average experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Average quality for an industrial waffle + nutella but still charged at $12.95 + tax... for this price coffee and industrial orange juice is obviously not included, and don't ask for a refill, they don't do it there (too complicated i guess, or more realistically a good way to charge one coffee more to the customer/sitting ATM). They sell you a kind of french ambiance, but it's a dull french marketing technique, don't fall in the trap !
So don't go but just cross the street and get a seat at Olive & Gourmando, great place with great value for excellent quality (infortunately closed on Sundays).

“Great for Breakfast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

My husband and I popped in here for breakfast, and we were not disappointed! Our waitress was so pleasant. Our breakfasts were a nice size, and the coffee was delicious. A nice little place to pop by. I would say its a little pricey - we spent $37 for two people for breakfast, but like I said the portions were generous.

“Great spot in Old Montreal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013 via mobile

We took a chance for lunch one day and found this little gem of a restaurant! The servers were all very helpful and friendly. The croque monsieur was DELICIOUS! Fresh bread, a few apple strips on top of a toasty ham and cheese, drizzled with just a bit of maple syrup - it was great! Fantastic location right in Old Montreal.

“Something French and nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Had a lovely lunch of their Charcuterie and a cheese platter between two with a couple of glasses of wine. Excellent service and meal and value for money in the old town area. Would go again
