The Westin is located directly across the street from the Place Des Armes Metro station. The metro can get you anywhere. The annual auto show was located across the street as well. Old Montreal is within walking distance. The hotel itself is a recent renovation of the Gazette building. It has a great restaurant. We had a suite which was very spacious. The chairs were not the most comfortable nor the sofa in the sitting room. Nice large bathroom with a huge shower. Took forever to get hot water though. Bed was wonderful!

Room Tip: We had a suite - the view was of the alley.

Dear JennieDGB, thank you sincerely for sharing your impressions over your last visit. As you enjoyed the Premium Suite, you will be happy to learn that we are in the process of modifying the sitting room area with a new sofa and a microwave, along with numerous details. This process should be completed by summer; make sure to give us your impressions when you return! Be well,

Spent two nights at the Westin last week. The rooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. Went for a drink at the restaurant, Gazette and ended up having dinner there. The server (I believe her name was Monica) was incredible. We had a special request for a special lunch for my father who was in the hospital and she went out of her way to take care of it for the next morning. Went back to the same restaurant the next evening and had another great server. Keep it up Westin! Usually stay at the Sheraton when I go to Montreal but will switch to this wonderful place going forward.

We stayed at the Westin over New Year's this year, for three nights, and were so impressed with the level of service by all staff members, especially upon check-in and the lovely concierge Chantelle. She had recommendations to fit our different requests, and took extra care to help us find a place for New Year's Eve that would have food I could eat (pregnant). We saw Chantelle throughout our stay, and she always recognized us and wanted to know how dinner each night had been. We can't say enough about her level of customer service and genuine friendliness.

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is just a block north of the Old Town, which we found perfect as it wasn't noisy at night but easy walking distance. There's also a metro right across the street (or connected underground) so getting around the city was simple. We are Starwood members and have stayed in numerous of their hotels, and would recommend this Westin easily. Rooms are standard with the very comfortable beds.

Le Westin and Montreal are at the end of a long trip for us, so we are at the stage where we are looking forward to getting home. We have stayed at a few different places and Le Westin had the biggest rooms and the most comfortable beds. I think the price we got was on par with other double queen rooms we stayed in, however at Le Westin they were bigger. Service was professional and friendly. The food was good, but not a standout for us. Gut feel is that it is a little over priced. Having said this, I would still stay here again as the hotel is close to lots of cafes, bistros and restaurants.

Rooms were comfy. And the bed was fantastic. The location was literally a few minutes from the old port and major sights. Additionally the metro station is right outside the lobby doors, across the street. Service was good. Housekeeping average. The restaurant was not a favorite.

We stayed here from December 14 to December 17th. The room was spacious and well appointed. The shower was fantastic and features two shower heads. During our stay we got to do a lot of walking in chilly Montreal, to return to our comfortable and warm room with pleasure. The bed was heavenly. The staff was friendly and personable. The pool area was great, with various pools of different temperatures. Overall, our stay was fantastic. You cannot ask for a better location at this price. Upon entering the lobby of Le Westin, hopefully you will think, "ah, welcome home" like we did.

Hotel is beautiful and can't say enough about the staff, they truly made our trip 100% better. Their recommendations and directions were incredibly helpful. One of the staff even called a pub just to see if it was busy for us! The underground city and metro stations (all day pass for $9) are accessible without stepping foot outside. Location of the hotel was ok, anywhere we wanted to go to was at least 10-15 minute walk, or simply a $10 taxi. There really isn't many businesses within a couple blocks. Could be a good thing.... Personal preference. The hotel pool(s) are unique. They feature 3 separate "pools" one being a hot. Tub, another ice cold and the biggest one slightly heated with a glass bottom. They aren't big pools but got the job done. Teamed with the sauna it was a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon.
Rooms are plenty big enough for 4 people. Starbucks coffee in the morning for free is amazing. Beds are exceptional. Maid service was thorough daily.
The restaurant/bar was aimed at upscale clientele without a doubt.
It is very clean and ready to accommodate a ton of guests. Free wifi throughout.
Valet service and parking is $25 per day, which wasn't worth it for us since we weren't planning on driving anywhere. We parked 20 feet across the street for $18 a day.
We found an amazing sports bar called the sports station near the corner of St. Laurent and St. Catherine- very good food at even better prices. IGA grocery store is a 10 minute underground walk.
I am very happy we decided on Le Westin for our weekend getaway give it my highest recommendation mainly due to their service. Each employee went above and beyond their duty to ensure we had the best stay possible. Oh yea, and the price is right at around $150 per night after taxes.
