“Good location and nice rooms”

Stayed here for one night on business. Checkin was easy. Rooms were nice, clean, lots of space. Didn't have a chance to try the internet. They had a place on the first floor where you could buy snacks, drinks, and other things which was great. Bar also seemed nice as well. Would stay here again if the price was right.

Room Tip: Get a room on one of the higher floors so people from the street aren't looking in to your windo...

We stayed here over the US Thanksgiving holiday. Great value and good service. Only disappointment was very spotty Internet service - when we initially pointed this out, we were moved to another room because the staff thought it was room specific. It wasn't. But had a terrific time, all in all.

On our arrival, the bell boys were unhelpful as they watched us unload our own luggage from our transportation. The front desk was much more helpful as check-in was quick and smooth. The hotel staff was friendly. We were put in a spacious room on the exclusive 14th floor, reserved for SPG members, with a nice city view.

PROs
- treated better if you are a Starwood Preferred Guest
- good location
- some hotel staff are friendly

CONs
-house keeping did a very poor job on our room during our 3 night stay
-the food for room service was mediocre and expensive, had the burger $17 & cheese tortellini
-called down late at night for complimentary water (SPG) and was refused, said we had to wait until next day for house keeping to replace it.... Really?!
-room is tired and outdated

ADVICE
- for good eats, take a 8-10 minute cab ride to Deville Diner, amazing food for the same price but 100x better in service and quality (lobster rolls, Deville double patty burger, tuna tacos)
-join SPG to receive the benefits

Room Tip: SPG member 14th floor, city view $30/night to upgrade to corner suite

While location and service were fantastic, and the hotel LOOKED to be clean, I have been proven to be a fool.
My boyfriend and I stayed here at the end of October, had a great time while we were there and we were both very happy with the overall weekend.
HOWEVER, 5 1/2 weeks after our stay, we have both been diagnosed with SCABIES as a result of staying at this hotel. Clearly the bedding is not properly cleaned and the overall cleanliness of this hotel is not what one would assume at first glance. We have not stayed anywhere since then except for our own homes, nor been in contact with anybody who has scabies. This unpleasant experience is clearly a direct result of staying at this hotel.

I can ensure you that a thorough cleaning is being done in all of our rooms prior to welcoming a new guest, and we have not had any similar case in the past. Additionally, scabies are most commonly transmitted by skin contact, yet if we could get more details about your stay we would definitely investigate the case further. I thought that the hotel was very nice. The room was clean and I loved the decor. Although, I thought the service could have been a bit more personalized. I noted in my reservation that my partner and I were both celebrating a birthday and our anniversary; and when I arrived at the hotel the receptionist mentioned nothing of that. I was a bit disappointed about that. Next time around, I will probably stay at a boutique hotel where details like that would be addressed.

Exactly what you expect from the Westin chain. Consistent amenities and great locations. Conveniently located between the old port district and St. Catherine's street and near the convention center. It was a bit of a walk up the hill to St. Catherines street so if you are planning on shopping be prepared to walk a bit.

Clean, great location, nice service, reasonable price, that is what I need from a hotel. Nice but small swimming pool, nice gym and you can get sport swear including running shoes for 5 dollars. Did not eat here, so can't comment on that.
