A fairly nice hotel in downtown Montreal but the help was spotty and the attention to detail lacking in such a supposedly high-end property. One concierge was very attentive in helping me locate a missing shipment, but a front desk clerk was unsympathetic when I questioned some articles on my "folio" and reminded me much more of the rude service I expect in Paris than the normally warm Canadian reception to which I am accustomed. Also, the trash receptacles in my room were not emptied when I first checked in, although they were cleaned out daily after that and my room service meal tray sat outside my door for almost a full 24 hours even after I was promised that it would be picked up later in the evening. The maids even stepped over the tray to clean my room, but apparently didn't alert the proper hotel staff to pick it up!
