2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

A fairly nice hotel in downtown Montreal but the help was spotty and the attention to detail lacking in such a supposedly high-end property. One concierge was very attentive in helping me locate a missing shipment, but a front desk clerk was unsympathetic when I questioned some articles on my "folio" and reminded me much more of the rude service I expect in Paris than the normally warm Canadian reception to which I am accustomed. Also, the trash receptacles in my room were not emptied when I first checked in, although they were cleaned out daily after that and my room service meal tray sat outside my door for almost a full 24 hours even after I was promised that it would be picked up later in the evening. The maids even stepped over the tray to clean my room, but apparently didn't alert the proper hotel staff to pick it up!

Dear Tom A, thank you kindly for having taken a moment to share these improvement opportunities with me. I have shared your feedback with the room service and housekeeping personnel, as well as with the Director of Rooms. Be ensured that we are all dedicated to making you feel good when you grant us with a visit, and this should have included answering your questions in a pleasant manner. I hope you will accept my most sincere apologies and will do us the favor of giving Le Westin another try. Sincerely,

I have been staying at the Westin Montreal for several years now, actually since its opening (about once a month for a few nights). This hotel is great, only a few years old, quite luxurious and very well located. The rooms are very quiet (I am sensitive to noise at night) and usually spacious for most of them. Always very clean. Of course, the Westin heavenly beds are really comfortable.
Of note, I think the service is excellent, and helped by a few staff members that consistently do an excellent job (Bonnie and Myriam are fantastic). The concierge service is excellent, do not hesitate to ask where to find a great restaurant, wine bar, or else -- their advice is unbiased unlike many other places.
Really, I cant find anything bad to say about this hotel and the service.

Room Tip: Ask for a room ending in "09" or "04", those are the corner rooms with great vie...

Opposite the Palais des Congres -the convention center - this is an excellent hotel both in location and quality.
Very impressed by how friendly all staff we met were - without asking. They are quiet, well organized and efficient.
Rooms are clean, modern and have everything you need for a great stay; be it for business or pleasure.

Room Tip: Suggest paying the 'extra' for a corner room.

I recently travelled to Montreal for a conference, this Westin was excellent. The room was very large, comfortable bed and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The conference facilities were also excellent, the food was simply delicious with a great variety. My co-worker and I commented it was like being on a cruise with so much variety. Again the staff were excellent in this area, very helpful.

I would recommend this hotel for either a pleasure trip or if you are planning a conference in Montreal.

Hotel very central, walking distance to Old Montreal.

Room Tip: My room was very quiet.

Upgraded to a corner room. Heavenly bed was heavenly after a long haul flight that involved a six hour flight delay. Main bar was undergoing renovation but the replacement bar was nice with good food. Good central location with friendly staff. Yet another great Westin!

This hotel was a great deal. I went with a group to Montreal for Labor Day weekend and we were able to get a great deal. The hotel was very clean, but you have to ask for all of the extra things. There was only one bath robe and some of the toiletries were lacking. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location. It was easy for us to travel everywhere we needed to go.

I am a huge fan of all Westin hotels. They have the most comfortable beds. I loved that Le Westin gave the option of refusing house keeping for extra rewards points. The room was large, clean and quiet. I would be happy to come back to the Westin any time.
