“great location in Montreal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

the location in Montreal is fantastic for anyone wanting to visit Old Montreal, the underground shopping centres, great dining etc. Easy to find if driving, and easy to get to from the train station or airport.
The staff at the front desk are exceptionally friendly, in both French & English. The valet car service was prompt & efficient.
The room itself: we had a loft room overlooking St Laurent Blvd and the mountain. The bed was very comfortable, the rest of the furniture not so much. The hotel is trying to be trendy, but the furniture was hard & not comfy at all. When I get to a hotel room I want to be able to relax & sprawl, can't be done on the chairs & very puny sofa. But we did not go there to lounge around, the location to China Town was perfect, literally across the street. And for wanting to go to Old Montreal it is blocks away, as is the Place d'Arts, and all kinds of shopping, restaurants etc.
The shower was small, and strangely laid out, but the lighting in the bathroom was good. Having a small bar fridge in the room is always appreciated. Coffee maker, but no coffee provided was odd. There was free coffee & muffins in the lobby in the morning, just annoying to have to get dressed to go downstairs to get coffee!
All in all, we would consider staying at this location again due to it's proximity to so many things to do in Montreal.

Room Tip: ask for a loft room, they are larger

“Everything was nice.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Modern hotel. Rooms are quite small but well designed so there is plenty of space for stuff and to get around, and there is a microwave and mini-fridge. Staff are happy to converse in English as well as French. Our TV was a little fuzzy. Free wi-fi. Complimentary croissants, juice and coffee for breakfast until they get a restaurant. Close to bus stop that goes to the airport.

“a new "find"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Feb 28/13
First time in this new "boutique" hotel St Laurent & Rene Levesque - close to lots of the action in Montreal. You can walk to st Catherines St - Luminiere was on and the Jazz Fest and Comedy Fest are in the same place. China town is right there and only a few blocks walk to the old City - super location! Didn't know what to expect - visit Montreal regularly and generally stay in larger, "Name" facilities. Check-in was a breeze, front desk very helpful in English or French, rooms small (like Paris), but extremely well laid out and everything is there and first class - bed, Wi-Fi, frig, micro, closet space, super clean bathroom, heat & AC worked and was quiet! Only downsides (and easily dealt with) is the parking, workout room is very small and needs better ventilation and there's no restaurant in-house. Good business meeting room facility and you can get "catered". I'll be back!

Room Tip: the building is concrete so not too noisy, but because it's on the intersection of two main stre...

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Me and my husband stayed at the Hotel Zero 1 for 2 nights and we loved it. The day we arrived we took the bus from the airport that stopped right in front of the hotel, we just had to cross the street. The hotel has 2 subway options very close to it, and it is also at walking distance from the RES.

The hotel is clean (a little dark because of the dark walls but OK), modern, clean, beautiful room with a LOT of light.

The only thing i missed was a restaurant in the hotel or at least a cafeteria, but it is not quite necessary. The locations is VERY good even though it is just in front of China Town, it is NOT in China Town.

“Nice Hotel, Perfect for our 1 night stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We stayed at this hotel February 17, 2013. We were going to see a show at the Metropolis in Montreal and I saw this new hotel and decided to try it out. It was wonderful, the check in was easy and fast, our room was cozy and perfect for me and my husband. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. They have a microwave and a sink in the room which is great if you are planning on staying longer than one night. The washroom is small but very clean. Overall we loved our stay here.
