I walked by this place a thousand times on a thousand beautiful summer nights and was taken by how beautiful the restaurant looked -- simple but chic. Airy with a nice terrace on Bernard.
Eventually, my boyfriend treated me for dinner there. While it was still a nice place to sit, for seeing and being seen too...the food was kind of disappointing.
He had a pasta which was... standard. Nothing spectacular. I ordered a steak which was dry, tough, and overcooked.
The wine we ordered was decent, and served in very cool stemless wine glasses (which started a new obsession for me). The bread was delicious!
Overpriced and overrated for such standard fare -- some of it not even very well-prepared.
