“Great weekend Brunch spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Busy, but wait times are short... Very family friendly..Lots of choice for brunch (including egg-white omelettes). Portions are generous without making you feel stuffed. Service is friendly and efficient.

“second time around is not as good”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

we made reservation since this restaurant seems to be a popular hang out place on saturdays. unfortunately this enfant had misbehave and lost our rservation. this is not the first time this happened. they suggested that next time reserve online and not call. why did they not explain this in the first place, nobody knows.
anyway, we got seated and had promised to leave before 9pm. this gives us 1.5 hrs to rush through dinner. also I would not recommend going on a saturday. there is just too much crowd and it will be hard to hear what you are saying yourself. the decibel in that room must hit some dangerous levels.
don't order the pate chinoise. order the burger, that is better.

“An enfant terrible in the sense of innovative”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Just going to Montreal is a treat and this restaurant is the type of place that crystalizes my Montreal memories of good food, engaging colleagues and bonhomie. In short the elements that make life worth living.
Lunch fare was great. Mouth watering duck on a bed of arugula with pomegranate seeds sprinked through and the best bread ever. Classic soupe aux pois habitant style was OK but perhaps not as good as mine. Excellent service. I liked the simple decor and open ambiance.

Certainly this is an "enfant terrible" in the sense of innovative yes but not too avant -garde and certainly nothing embarassing is expressed here!

“Very good for a casual bite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

I gather this spot gets very busy later at night. I have only been for an early light meal. This evening I sat at the bar. I had friendly, prompt sevice from the bartender. My burger was very good. The choice of desserts is a bit odd. Just as well, as I didn't need one.

“The "In" Place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

This place is packed. It's a bit of see and be seen. Very hip. Don't go for the food; go for the atmosphere.
