“A great one night stand”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

Had to plan a last minute weekend in Montreal and found some good rates online for this hotel. The reviews were positive so decided to go ahead and try it. I usually have good luck with Hilton hotels and this one was no exception. The room was nice and big, the mattress was perfect, the wifi was free, the sheets and comforter were very comfortable, and everything in the room was sparkling clean. The stay would have been perfect if not for the $28 per day parking which I find a bit steep, even if you factor in the in and out privileges.
We only stayed for one night so did not take advantage of any of the amenities but in light of how the lobby and room looked, I would assume they were pretty good too.
We were there on a Saturday and it was quiet around the hotel but we did notice a lot of construction in the vicinity so it may be a bit noisier during the week.
All in all a very nice, well situated hotel. I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side may be noisy during the week as there is a lot of construction on that side...

The room was very NOISY because of outside construction. Due to that I could not sleep well and got headache. The staff was very unfriendly during the checkout when I tried to report the issue. She straightly told me that we can not do anything in this case. My question is that if they were aware about the construction that side then why the hell they have assigned the room to me. Thanks,

Dear Dr. Rajeev K,

Thank you for choosing the Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Centre-ville for your recent visit to our city.

The construction on the streets around the building is unfortunately beyond our control. Being an urban property, centrally located in the heart of downtown Montreal, this is an inescapable reality of our location. We are sorry that our Front office employees did not provide you with a satisfactory check-out issue and we will follow up accordingly.

We assign rooms to our clientele upon availability, always to provide the best customer service and guest experience.
We did not receive any other comments or complaints from other clients during the same period you stayed with us.

We are looking forward to welcome you again soon at Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Centre-ville.

Thank you

Il would start of by saying that we go in montreal couple a time a year since we live in quebec city, most of the time we take our hotel downtown to be nearby everything. The location itself is great but we found out some issues, the room was clean except for the Window curtains were there was some cheetos mark... The mini bar was empty, they use keurig type coffee machine wich is Nice but we only had 2 cup of standard coffee rest was decaf... However the staff was really friendly and Will kindly ansées your question, everything was ok but not perfect, would expect a bit more for the pricing.

We chose this hotel for a conference because we like Hilton beds and it offered a good price and good location. Finding the hotel is super easy, and parking was equally easy in the hotel. Check in and check out were simple. The room itself is fine - nothing to be excited about, but no flaws. We liked having the microwave and fridge available too. It advertises free daily newspaper, but this is in a stack by the elevator (2 english, 2 french) so if you're not up early enough, you're out of luck. As for the bed, it was a lot firmer than expected, with some slow-molding memory foam; this was not the normal Hilton bedding we were accustomed to, but the sleep was okay all the same. The location was great, but being on a main street, was noisy with the traffic.

Room Tip: A view facing south may offer a bit more noise relief compared to a north-facing room.

This was a perfectly located hotel to explore Montreal's centreville.
Very friendly staff.
Average food and breakfast.
Easy walk to the old town (apart from the -17ºC).
Close to shops in Rue de St. Catherine.
Easy access to underground city through Eaton Center.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Sherbrook street! The view from the back is terrible.

I stayed here for 3 nights on business. It is a little bit west of Old Montreal so for winter time that is probably a cab ride away. It was walking distance to St Catherine's street and a variety of restaurants. I went to the bar 2 nights after dinner. The service there was good. There were about 8-10 seats at the bar which was somewhat offset from the restaurant. This wasn't an issue as it wasn't that crowded at all. One night my body clock was a bit off due to travel and I ate a late dinner at the bar. Probably a mistake. Got steak and fries. The fries were good the steak very average.

The room itself was fine, comfy HGI bed, on a high floor.

Only $139 + taxes for a relatively new, modern & clean room with everything that you really need. Very centrally located with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was extremely good and good value for a hotel at $19 for an all you can eat breakfast with as many omelets, eggs, waffles, french toast etc. that your stomach can accommodate.
