“Central Location, Excellent Service, Awesome Beds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2011

WE stayed at this hotel for a convention at the Palais de Congress. The location of the hotel is very central. It is a 7-10 minute walk to Palais de Congress and a 12 minute walk to Old Montreal. St. Catherine St. (where shopping is abundant) is a 5 minute walk and there are neighborhood cafes, restaurants and grocery across and adjacent to the hotel. It is near McGill University. ST. Denis and St. Alexander St. is a 7-10 minute walk (where the st. is fille with small boutiques, restaurants).
The building is very modern and the rooms are well lit and very clean and modernly designed. The queen beds are heavenly to sleep on.
Service is great from the concierge to the reservation people and the cleaners.
There is a fitness center and a salt water swimming pool and a jacuzzi. The pool and jacuzzi is very clean and well maintained.
Parking is extra but you dont really need a car as everything is walkable and you can easily take a cab.
Overall a really good value for this hotel for the price.

We came back early from a home swap and decided to deal with jetlag at a Hilton. We confirmed our reservation two months in advance. When we arrived, we were given a room on the second floor overlooking a roof and a large, noisy, central water cooler and various exhaust vents. I mentioned this to the reception and received shrugged shoulders as a reply. Apparently the hotel was full. That night, we did not sleep well because of the noise from the mechanical unit on the adjacent roof. One would think that with two months notice we might have been given a better room.

This is by all appearances a well run property. I was impressed with the friendliness of the mobile staff within. It seems that most of the people in this part of Montreal were friendly - Lovely beds as usual (Hilton/Hampton). Our room was spacious. The pool room was nice and exercise room was exceptional. The advertised outdoor sunning patio (11th floor) was a little disappointing because only the morning sun got it and it was a little narrow. The steam rooms were in the bathrooms making them specific. I prefer my to do this with my wife together. Price would be rated a little high priced value wise. There was nothing to complain about but if they were to add a delectable fruit bar to the breakfast would be nice. We came away totally refreshed.

Stayed here for 3 days with my 9 year old for a mother + daughter getaway. The place seemed very new and everything was in good condition. The pool and gym areas were very good for this type of property and very well maintained. The gym was particularly large and reasonably well equipped for a hotel. I would not recommend the hotel restaurant as it is very open to the lobby and I felt as though the diners were on display. The price for the breakfast buffet was $16.95 ($8.95 for a child) which was definitely not worth it with many cheaper and better alternatives nearby. Within 1-2 blocks there is a Tim Horton's, a Cora's, and a grocery store, as well as several cafes and coffee shops.

The beds were comfortable, and our room was quiet. We made good use of the coffee machine, the microwave (popcorn) and the fridge.

The hotel is close to the metro and was a 15 minute walk from the train station and the shops of Catherine Street.

Would definitely stay here again.

My girl friend and I enjoyed a long weekend stay at this hotel. It is centrally located and within walking distance of Old Montreal, Cirque du Soleil, street fairs, the waterfront, many museums, restaurants and night clubs. The staff was cordial and very accommodating. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and ala carte. It was very good, with a variety of selections, but a bit pricey at $25. per person. We were somewhat disappointed that the hotel did not have a lounge. A small bar was located in back of the dining area, but it was not very romantic. An indoor swimming pool was located on the top floor , but we did not use it. Similarly we did not use the fitness center. No shuttle service is provided. A taxi ride to and from the airport was $38. each way. A currency exchange was located two doors from the hotel and provided a better exchange than the bank.

I loved this hotel. If you want to be in the tourist district, this is 2 km away and an easy walk down the hill. The rooms were very large with lots of storage. The WiFi worked very well, it has an excellent indoor swimming pool and workout center on the roof with outdoor sun deck. Excellent, though somewhat pricy breakfast. Enjoy it on the terrace and watch the world go by. And a staff that couldn't be more helpful. One annoyance is that the elevators require a key card to go anywhere. This gets bothersome after a while. Self parking in the underground garage is plentiful, but somewhat tight. Just be careful and look before turning corners or backing up.
The rooms has mini refridgerators and microwave ovens which were nice to have. The beds were very firm, perhaps just a bit too firm for my taste, but that is a personal preference.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room facing the river. The view in other directions is not as good.

Very nice, large and comfortable room. Top floor has a gym that would rival new Asian hotels. Nice and comfortable lobby. Breakfast is nicely done. They take your order for eggs and crepes and bring them to the table. No need to stand in line waiting for eggs to cook. Wi-Fi works throughout. Very close to annual Montreal Jazz Festival, McGill University and Parc Royal. Had a great stay, and will stay here again!

Room Tip: Higher floor provide nice views
