We went to Liverpool House for our company christmas event. The restaurants (Joe Beef is two doors up the street) are small and need to turn over 2 sittings each night.. the menu's are written on blackboards as is the wine list. It helps speed up the selection process as you are looking over tables of people eating which feels slightly invasive. I had the Foie Gras burger which was excellent followed by cote de boeuf equally excellent. However at the end of the meal I asked for a port which they did not have. However this resulted in the find of the night Domaine La Tour Vieille, Banyuls from the French/Spainsh border. New to me but worth the visit on it's own. I went straight to the SAQ the next day to purchase stock for Christmas.
