“Incredible Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2010

I again had the pleasure of staying at this hotel on business. This to me is the only place to stay while in the Montreal area.
I can always count on a very spotless room and the housekeeping staff deserve a lot of credit for this.
The breakfast is incredible and the best I have seen in any hotel. The area is huge and again spotless.
The staff are friendly and cannot do enough to assist you. I give this hotel A plus for everything.
And the rooms are really spacious, I just hope that they can keep up such excellent service.

We've stayed in many places in Laval,Ste Therese and Blainville over the years and this is really the only place to stay worthwhile. Although a little off the beaten path, it is modern, clean, and functionally useful for leisure and business purposes. Nice pool area and fitness center consists of a walker, stair climber and stationery bike so a machine or small free weight rack would break the monotony.
Staff is bi-lingual and cleaning crew are hard workers.
Be aware of all the construction going on in the area (as of 08/09). This will cause some delays on 148 or 15 in both directions. As car theft and break ins are regular problems in QC, primarily with those of us with US plates, staff was quick to remind us to remove all GPS and belongings from the window and dashboards.
Plenty of places to eat and if golfing is your game, we always enjoy les quattres domaines in mirabel.
The only downside to the hospitality business in QC and particularly the area of Laval is cost. Although the trip advisor teaser rate sez "as low as $112" the actual rate online and paid is $134 per night. Add the QC taxes and it gets mighty expensive. The bright side is the pricing compared to others in the area is about equal but the quality is much, much better. Although sometimes I wonder if the word "collusion" comes into play.
We considered staying at the Marriott in Tremblant (which is our regular haunt), but the teens werent interested in the extended drive back to Laval each day

We had planned to stay only one night but when our chalet rental fell through we decided to stay longer. Staff were professional and courteous. The room was clean, well laid out and comfortable. Breakfast was just what we wanted. It was simple and not overflowing with variety but again, it was clean, well managed and flavourful. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Montreal.

We were staying 5 nights in the Montreal area with my family of 5. I had booked a room (2 queens) with an extra bed. Upon our arrival, I discovered that Internet was not always the truth: this hotel did not have an extra bed policy, despite what I had booked on the Hilton web site! But, no worry, the people at the front desk accomodated us with a supplementary bed (fortunately, it was already 10h30 at night!). They made us very confortable. The gym and swimming pool were favorites with the kids, and the breakfast was included in the rate and very nicely served in the front lounge.

Very nice stay!

Everything was excellent with this hotel. Very comfortable room and bedding. Nice comp. breakfast, nicely laid out breakfast room/tv lounge. Even a business centre to access internet. We were with a group for a boys' soccer tournament and the hotel was very good about letting us eat in the lounge area in the evening and lunchtime the next day.

  • Liked — Comfortable and close to amateur sports fields.
  • Disliked — Remote part of Montreal - not great for tourists.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The registration process was quick and we were on our way to the room. the room is a rather larger than you usual hotel room, it has all the amenities except for a small fridge. You get a ironing board and iron, high speed internet for free, huge bathroom, etc...

The breakfast buffet was ok nothing more.

I would certainly recommend this hotel.

I spent one night at this hotel with my family of two adults and two children. We had a great stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is new and very clean. The facilities are top notch. The pool was fresh and clean, it is lovely, surrounded by French doors which open during the warm season. There is a small fitness room off the pool. The breakfast was excellent and kept well stocked by an attendant. You can help yourself to free coffee, tea and hot chocolate throughout the day. Guest are welcome to use the business centre, which is a small office located off the lobby, it has a computer with Internet access. I really liked the fact that the computer for guests was in a private office. This was my first stay at a Hampton Inn and I will definitely be back. I can't believe it is only rated a two star. I have stayed in many four star hotels that were not up to the standards of this two star hotel.

  • Liked — Clean, excellent service, pool.
  • Disliked — There is not a lot in the area except great shopping.
