COWS are located in various Maritime Canada locations. The one we visited was in Halifax, practically next door to Salty's Restaurant.
The place had the feeling of having been opened recently. The interior is bright white, lighting is bright as well, good for gloomy seaside day's. The first thing you see as you enter are those fantastic tee shirts they sell. Vivid colors, or as they say in Canada colours, pure artistry on cotton calendars and mugs and the like, all in those great colors, all with hilarious and tasteful cow motif .
The ice cream selection was not overly large, yet refreshingly adequate, freezer pans kept full - I hate to pick my favorite from a pan or tub that has seen its better part of the day. These were full, and not mellty. Assorted cones and cups are available, there are sundaes and splits and so forth.
As with any ice cream good parlor, er, parlour, they offer as many sample tastes as wished.
There are other ice cream places, along the way, that are not as appetizing, and they could not entice us to their street vendor style "wagon" with overflowing trash bins.
COWS Halifax is a nice shop, just look for the huge cow outside the door.
