We witnessed the 21 gun salute on Canada Day. All shot from number 1 gun!! 21 times on the command of "number one gun fire!" This was followed by the fireworks. A big bang day all in all. In the best weather as well.
Located on the tip of Victoria Park, in downtown Charlottetown. Not a whole lot there, other than the old cannons and small barracks, but still neat to check out while exploring the area.
The views of the harbour are magnificent from this vantage point, especially in the evenings for the sunset.
We were here on Canada Day, and must say that the fireworks display was amazing, even better than in some other large Canadian cities!
Great harbourside park and boardwalk area. Take the time and read all the historical signage. Great stories and a lot more history there than even the locals know.
