“Very good meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

Went to Maggie's as it was close to our hotel and we all had a very pleasant surprise. Very good meal and the staff was more than attentive. Food was very tasty. There were plenty of customers when we were there so it is obviously a place for good food and reasonable prices. We'll be eating there again before we leave town.

“Never again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

Ate at Maggies for the first time in a few years. Was a little disappointed by their lack of menu selection. I thought they did breakfast all day, but was never offered a breakfast menu. Only to find out breakfast was available when it was served to people next to us. Needless to say the staff was not very informative.

The silverware was dirty. We had to ask the waitress for some new forks. Actually, everything seemed a little spotty.

Food is mostly "greasy diner" stuff, except way more expensive then it should be ($12 for fries with the works? really?). The food is pretty "meh", I would expect something better for the price. I heard the folks by us complain that their scallops were over-cooked. This is PEI people... you shouldn't be cooking here if you can't cook a scallop.... but I digress.

I haven't even gotten to the worst part. The "tummy troubles" I had shortly after eating at this establishment. I won't get into the gory details but it was not a nice feeling. If the kitchen is as dirty as the place settings..... well, I don't really want to think about that. *shudder*.

Long story short, there are many nicer, cheaper, cleaner restaurants to check out in Charlottetown, try one of them instead.

“Appalling food, worse staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

The restaurant is pretty cluttered and bunched together, it seems like they could've made the layout way better and make it more comfortable and spacious then it is. For everytime I've been there, there's always been something wrong with the food, the burger's overcooked, the fries are overly greasy, food is soggy and nothing seems to be able to be hot by the time it arrives to your table. The price is reasonable but for the low-quality of food and service, even that seems a bit much. The staff isn't friendly at all, they all seem very annoyed that they have to serve and wait on you, they speak in monotones or are overly loud and obnoxious, and the way they speak to the lowered-positioned staff is appalling, borderline verbal abuse. I don't recommend this place to anyone who wants a good dining experience.

“Welcoming”

We've eaten at Maggies a few times. The restaurant is large, comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, well cooked and reasonably priced.

“Good Food, Average Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

The restaurant was next to our hotel so we decided to try it. The service was slow but the food we had was good. Also, they have homemade desserts. The restaurant is nice inside and has quite a local following.
