“Reservations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

This place is small so reservations are a must. I had a good salad and wonderful fried clams (although the cole slaw wasn't that great). My wife had mussels and a lobster, buth specialties of the house and perfectly served with ok potato salad. The lobster was even split which you don't get everywhere. No room for dessert.

“Authenticity rocks!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Where I come from, this local restaurant would be referred to as a "down and dirty" place because it is very unpretentious, to say the least. Dont let the appearance put you off. They just serve up very fresh seafood with no frills. My wife really enjoyed her lobster (and there were enough mussels with it that I was called on to help finish them). Because of the lobster we give a very good rating to this restaurant. My fish and chips were fine, just not outstanding. The indoor seating is very tight and reservations are definitely recommended.

“Lived Up To Its Reputation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Speaking with people in Charlottetown led us to this very popular restaurant. If the sheer number of enthusiastic diners at almost any time of the day is any indicator, this is "the place to eat" in Charlottetown. Great location near the Visitor Center on the waterfront. Reservations recommended!

The Water Prince is very casual and fun in its decor and approach to dining. Our server was extra friendly, even though it was clear she had lots to do to keep up with the demands of many eager customers.

Best of all, of course, is the food. Outstanding fish dinners! We didn't try the lobster but the couple eating next to us certainly enjoyed it.

Charlottetown has its share of upscale restaurants. The Water Prince is not one of them. It concentrates and excels where it counts: good food. We plan to recommend this to anyone traveling to Charlottetown.

“Lobster Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

We were directed to this restaurant by our innkeeper when we asked where we could get the best lobster in town. We have a very smart innkeeper! The restaurant is quaint and kitschy, the service is warm and friendly and the food is incredibly tasty! Be sure to leave room for one of their fantastic home made desserts to finish your evening.

“Our favorite restaurant in PEI! Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

We eat here four times a week. The most amazing chowder, biscuits and mussels. Fresh halibut right off the boat. Shane (the gracious host) has the best sources of fresh seafood.
Always busy, make a reservation or you might be heartbroken.
Their lobster suppers (ask for the crab options) are enough to stuff you for a week.
and don't miss their strawberry shortcake made with Bonnie's biscuits.
We love their servers, too!
