“worst scallops we have ever had”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

and being that pei is known for it, was a major disapointment. the service was slow and unattentive. the only saving grace was the seafood chowder.

“Small, but good seafood at this neighborhood place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Tailor Shop Historical Hotel in downtown Charlottetown, PEI and it was an easy walk down to the wharf area and this little neighborhood restaurant. Its dozen or so tables were just about filled on a Thursday evening with locals, many of them there for the lobster dinners. We tried halibut and chips (my wife thought they were great - I didn't care for the breading nor the grease the chips were cooked in). I had the seafood chowder with a delicious biscuit and enjoyed it. I also had the clams - much larger and chewier than what I'm used to back in my home of Seattle, but with good flavor.
They're fully licensed and do carry beer brewed on the Island... and it's very good. My wife enjoyed the house wine.
Service was friendly and good, despite the crowd.
All in all, a very nice spot that the locals enjoy - if in the area again, we'll stop in.
If you haven't had a lobster dinner yet (they're in tanks by the front door), this is the spot. Market price was $30 for a one pounder and up to $40 for a two pounder with others in between. Not much for atmosphere (lots of fun stuff to look at, though), but food good enough for the locals to keep coming back.

“Tasty Eats...Great Place for Seafood Dinner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

Really enjoyed dinner here on our last evening in Charlottetown. My scallop burger and husband's halibut fish & chips were delicious! The prices are fair and the service was wonderful!
Can get busy so be sure to make a reservation or arrive early. We'd go back to try their lobster next time, which is one of their specialties.

“Make a RESERVATION!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012

Very busy place. Be prepared to wait to be served as waitresses are very strict about first seat, first served. Extremely popular among locals, tourists and cruise ship crowd. The price is reasonable for the area and Lobsters are plenty!
