A wonderful gem! Several rooms, all updated and comfortable in this historic home. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Delicious breakfasts with a choice of entree each morning. The laundry facilities were a God send! :) Staff were friendly and helpful in recommending eating spots and visitor must sees. Will definitely stay again and recommend to family & friends!

Room Tip: All rooms are great. Size varies, depending on price and room required.

We had a great experience at Sonata. The staff was very helpful and it was located within easy walking distance from great restaurants and the theater. It is an older house but well maintained and clean. Internet access and washing facilities are a plus. It was easy to access roads out of town and find when we returned. On site parking is adequate. The breakfast was quick and enjoyable. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Our two bedroom suie was on the first floor, in the corner. The view is minimal but the room was lar...

3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for several nights in September of 2013. The bathroom was basic but clean. The staff was very friendly. The overall feeling was lacking personality and not by any means a b&b. It felt like a business being run by cheap laboring workers. Don't get me wrong, they were extremely friendly but it was different than a b&b or even a hotel. The carpets were stained in the room I stayed in. The air quality was poor, within 10 minutes of walking into the room I felt stuffed up. I didn't have a good night's rest due to the stuffiness of the room. The breakfast on all 3 days was basic. We were served under ripened fruit and eggs. The coffee wasn't the greatest. Eating in the dining room was a stiff and awkward experience, not warm and inviting like a b&b would be. Value overall wasn't up to my standards. The accommodations were basic and I wouldn't go back. PEI has plenty of alternate places to stay that will charm your socks off.

We spent two nights here and could not have been more pleased. This is a first rate operation with large comfortable rooms and beds, good food, and service that should serve as a model for customer satisfaction. The staff is knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and eager to provide the best service possible. We recommend The Sonata Inn without any reservation what so ever.

We stayed at the Sonata Inn for 3 nights in September, we had a large comfortable room with nice cross ventilation, a very nice bed and furniture and a fine bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a great breakfast served family style in the dining room where you can chat with the other guest about the prior day’s adventures and upcoming attractions. The inn is located in a quiet neighborhood of stately mansions and inns about 3-4 blocks from the downtown party area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.
