“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

There is something here for everyone to like - the introductory film is quite good, and the wait for the next showing is not very long. The historic rooms on the second floor are very well done and are fascinating. The staff seems both willing and able to answer questions from visitors, no matter how elementary or arcane. And the gift shop offers a range of books and nice souvenirs. Recommended.

“Ton of Canadian History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

There is a ton of past and current history with a visit to the Province House National Historic Site of Canada. There is a great introductory film clip covering the beginnings of the Canadian nation. You then get to view the actual rooms where meetings were held with the representatives from the various Canadian provinces in 1864. You also see the room where the current PEI representatives meet twice a year. There are also Canadian Park rangers there that provide a wealth of information and are willing to provide answers to any questions you have. Another benefit is that there is no admission cost.

“Wee bit of Canadian History”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I like learning so this place was nifty to check out the history. The accompanying video was a bit cheesy, but provided a good back story to the purpose for the site.

“Must see for Canada's national beginnings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

The story of confederation from the site where it all took place to the uninvited guests that made Canada unite into the dominion. Short 17 minute presentation and ablility to see the rooms where the houses sat to deliberate. Very inspiring!
