We were recommended to Mauro's on Erie by a contact at Colio Wines as part of a wine tour package they did for us (a prize won at a wine show). Fantastic choice.
The staff is friendly and passionate about the food and dining experience. The eggplant parma appetizer is incredible. I asked for the Arrabbiata without pancetta (I'm vegetarian) and it did not disappoint. My wife had the veal special (in a mushroom cream sauce) with pan fried brussels sprouts and potatoes.
I cook both eggplant parma and pan fried brussels sprouts and can tell you that Mauro's version is exceptional.
Really enjoyed the evening, the food, and the service. Thanks Mauro's. We'll be back.
