“Would stay again.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

We had a comped room offer at Caesars Windsor due to play at other Total Rewards casinos. Since it was close enough for a one night get away, and neither of us had been since it changed from Casino Windsor, we thought this would be the perfect place to stay for a night.

We arrived at the valet around 4:30. The females working at the valet service were friendly and helped us with our bag. There was no line at check in and in less than five minutes we were on our way though the casino to the Forum tower.

The room and bathroom were large and clean. Our view wasn't spectacular, but who goes to a hotel to stare out the window? We didn't spend much time in our room, other than to freshen up for the evening and sleep. We spent all our time in the casino and on-site lounges. The property is very large and very clean. Compared to the Detroit casinos, everything felt brand new. All the machines worked and there wasn't garbage laying everywhere. It also wasn't overly crowded for a Saturday night. The service at all the bars was very friendly. The beers were very overpriced ($11 for two bottles of beer) but with surroundings so beautiful we didn't pay it much mind. The Vu bar was lovely and the small terrace was great for evening views of home across the river.

We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return, even if it meant paying for our room! We made it across the border in no more than twenty minutes each way, so no hassle at all. I would recommend a stay here.

1. The walk from the parking to the hotel reception is way too far. Lack of directions
2. The receptionist was not welcoming and helpful
3. The room was not clean...(hairs everywhere, yellow stink, and dirty windows)
4. The price of the room was not justified
5. Too many ID checking...
6. The pictures show on the hotel website are misleading

one good thing is, security guys are all helpful and with the best smile

We stayed for 2 nights on a short getaway. We come once a year or so.
Valet parking is free and well organized even at busy times. Check in was fast and we had a room in the Augusta tower. We like this tower as if you are in the other one you have to haul your suitcases through the casino to get to it. The room was large, bright and clean. Nice TV, comfy bed and free wifi too.
There are several places to eat. The buffet is a typical casino buffet and the Artist Cafe is a decent restaurant. There is a high end place and a quick snack place as well.
The casino is on two floors with lots of slot machines and tables.
All staff seem to enjoy their jobs and know how to treat their guests.

Good stay in a clean, quiet hotel.
Was nice to have casino attached for food and something to do at night.... Only downside was the walk to check in from self park... Very long!!!

Good view from my room, and got a great rate through total rewards... I stay in a lot of hotels and this was above average for comfort. I could not smell smoke in my room.

I did it hear any other guests while sleeping etc. nice bathroom, good tv, etc.

I would stay here again......

My wife, Daughter, Son-In-Law and Grandson stayed at Caesars Windsor last week and the place was marvelous. Got a great sleep (noise free). The staff was pleasant from the front desk through housekeeping. If you are going to be in Windsor, this is the place to stay.

I specifically drove all the way from Oklahoma to be at this motel for the fireworks between Detroit and Windsor a week or so before July 4, 2013. What a waste of my time. What a change a few years has made. When I lived in Ohio, I used to love coming here. And it was way more crowded and exciting than this time. What has happened??? Is the economy that bad or is it because the service and general demeanor of most of the persons I met here at this casino suck? I have never been in any casino and treated so poorly by everyone: the pit boss; the Asian younger lady in the credit department who walks around like she has a pencil stuck up you know where; the wait persons at the buffet who entirely ignored me; no one wanted to hear my concerns in person. They told me to go to the website and make a comment. Tried this. There is no way to do so!!!! Their breakfast buffet charges extra for OJ. What's up with that? I will never spend any money here again. Soooooo disappointing because i really loved this place in the past. They seem to have only about 6% of the market as I was told. USA persons...do not bother getting a passport and going here. A waste of time and effort. Go to Cleveland or even Columbus if you live in Ohio. Much better. Very disappointed. No one cared.
