I went to Marben with a friend who happen to know Carl Heinrich, the Chef. i wasn't expecting a whole lot; other than being told they had the best burgers I didn't know much about them. I am so glad I went and have been back a few times since then. Their burgers are killer! When the plate comes it looks like a rather small portion but I could not finish all on my plate. I ordered the burger which came with fries and coleslaw. Not only was it delicious but it was all as fresh as you could get. Marben makes everything from scratch right there in their kitchen. The bread you get before you meal, the butter, the jams. Their meat is as fresh as can be as well. They do not buy ground beef, no siree! Instead they buy a fresh, (dead of course) cow. They cut all their meat right there and use the best parts for their burgers. They also had a pig roast the last monday of the month for a while (not sure if they are still doing that in the summer). They would roast a whole pig outside, which you got choice cuts from and of course a bunch of different freshly made sides. This is definitely one of Toronto's gems and shouldn't be missed if you are visiting or living here. Their patio is fair size too and matches the killer ambience they have going on inside. You will not be disappointed!
