“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

I ordered Malai Kofta, rice (very aromatic and flavorful), naan, two mango lassi's. The naan looked like a tennis racket it was so big! Very tasty. Rice, as mentioned, was quite good. Malai Kofta was very tasty, although I would have been happier with more spicy flavor, but overall quite delicious. Staff are very attentive and very cool guys who are nice to talk to. Lassi's were very good. Overall highly recommended.

“Best Indian food you will find downtown.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

Let me qualify that by saying I’ve been eating home cooked and restaurant Indian food regularly since I was a child. There are a couple of establishments that might compete on a good day but they are higher end with prices to match.
Despite what some of the reviews have mentioned below, the management (which includes the chef) is not new. One of the partners has left so visually the management may appear to have changed from past years.
What is great about the food is that does not need an excessive amount of ghee that many restaurants add to enhance otherwise bland food and which turn the dish into an oily mess. The food here is flavourful without being too greasy; dishes popular with my friends and I include the chicken tikka masala and the baingan bartha. If you visit the lunch buffet from time to time you will find new dishes appearing in the buffet which is always a nice surprise.

“We would go back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012 via mobile

We were there on a Sunday night, not very busy, probably because it was Easter. We had the choice between 3-4 Indian restaurants closeby and guessed on Trimurti. The staff was very friendly, especially to our 8 y-o daughter. My wife is a bit sensible to lactose so they've offered to modify the meal she had chosen so there is no cream in it. We love Indian cuisine, we often cook it at home. We were not disappointed with the meal here, everything was fresh and tasteful and there is plenty to fulfill any hungry stomach...we had to leave with a doggy bag...Which I happily emptied the next day for lunch! The price was reasonable. We recommend this restaurant.

“We liked it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012

Hadn't read the reviews on this site so no preconceived ideas about current management. A Saturday night and busy - we had a reservation and were shown to our table immediately. Service was friendly and helpful. The food was good though perhaps a tad slow in arriving. All in all a very enjoyable evening.
