“Perfect for a Bachelorette evening!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

I had some difficulty choosing a place to take a group of girls for a Bachelorette weekend as I wanted us to be able to have dinner and drinks but also make it special. I noticed The Sultan's Tent was on a website list somewhere online of great places for a Bachelorette evening. From experience, I can say it is!

Although the staff provided us with a table 10 minutes after the reservation I didn't mind because I knew this place was popular (especially for a Saturday night) and they allowed us to stay well past the 2hours 20minutes they originally gave us to sit.

We ordered the 4-course meal which was delish! I truly recommend the Moroccan Beef Short Rib - it was so juicy and tasty! During the meal there was a belly dancing performance. These ladies are very interactive and invite you to learn a few moves with them without making you feel awkward.

I also recommend couples having dinner here as it has a very romantic feel with tents, dark upholstery and candlelit lighting.

“Summerlicious!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Booked dinner reservations for Sunday evening during Summerlicious for the prix fixe fare. We found ourselves downtown early and sweltering during the hot, humid evening so stopped in to see if they could accommodate us at an earlier time. We were cheerfully whisked in and seated in the first part of the restaurant near the bar. Service was just as friendly and quick. The food was very good. We each had a different appetizer which we all enjoyed. Our entrees were the mango salad and beef brisket, beautifully presented and delicious. The creme brûlée was excellent. There is no belly dancer with the prix fixe meal but we were fine with that. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal!

“MEH !>”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We had reservations for over two weeks. First, they phoned back saying we had Friday instead of Saturday, had to correct. Arrived, saying table isn't ready !?? ( When you have reservations!?? ) Sat at the bar for over 25 minutes, ordered Martini's, server said we are 'out' of Grey Goose, then to correct herself said, " but I can go downstairs and get some if you want ?' Duh, of course !?? Finally got seated at a front table when she said our table was at the back!?? Food was 'average' at best. Great space, but poor, poor service and food. Would NOT recommend.

“Fun dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

My wife and I went to dinner there recently and quite an experience. The food was well prepared, the servers were attentive (especially those pouring tea) and the belly dancing was a nice plus. We will definitely be going back!

“Culinary Delights in Exotic Setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

Wow - I cannot say enough about the value, the flavour and the presentation of a delicious multi-course meal. SO many choices, SO many delights, and all in the enchantment of silken tents, sumptuous fabrics, and seductive lighting. The belly dancer is just the icing on the cake. Just be warned - if this dinner is intended as a seductive intro to a sexy evening, you can forget having sex after. You will be way too full and the fare is too good not to finish ever last bite!
