I you want ambience, great food and..a view over Toronto, this is the place!!!Don't be put off by the strange location (You feel that you are visiting an apartment complex.). Do reserve by the window.

“For old people”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013 via mobile

Decor is very dated done in the 80's very stuffy. Good location in good weather. Food is average at best. Forget it. Too expensive. Good wine list though.

“Expensive”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Really looking forward to this restaurant but was dissappointed in the whole atmoshere. Seating was close together and was very noisy. Good views if you were close to the windows. Food was O.K. but not work the price. Service was fine, but they were so busy it lacked efficiency.

“I used to love this place...but food this time was inconsistent”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

There is no doubt this restaurant is establishment Toronto and somewhat timeless, beautifully set and forever elegant. But our dinner was sadly disappointing. The steak tartare was excellent but the lamb sirloin was literally charred and burnt on the outside whilst being pink on the inside so all one could taste was burnt meat...how can a restaurant of this calibre not cook meat to perfection? The cavatelli with seafood was extremely disappointing...pasta was supposed to be fresh but it was hard, almost chewy with a very frugal serving of seafood. The chicken was truly uninspiring. The panna cotta, which is supposed to be firm to the touch, was in fact runny, like custard and had a faint taste of lemon.
These types of things are not supposed to happen in a restaurant of this calibre.

The restaurant will continue to thrive despite this review because it is old school Toronto, but I fail to understand how so many mistakes can be made in one sitting.

“The views match the food, excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

Title says it all. Perfect friendly Canadian welcome, views of Toronto and perfectly cooked and presented food. Some dishes a little complicated and definitely not cheap but worth it.
