“Convenient but nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

My visits to this restaurant are few and far between despite the fact that it is steps from where I work. My fella and I decided to go there before our concert at Massey Hall. The menu was average for this type of eatery. Our server was courteous but, again, not particularly notable. The food was ok with the exception of the cole slaw that came with my pulled pork sandwich. It was disgusting. I'm not sure if it had "turned" or if that's the way it was supposed to taste.

Also, those buffalo chips that used to be a novelty decades ago now just seem cheap. They are greasy and flavourless. I would rather have had fries or salad to as a side however, those which normally come with a meal in other restaurants are an extra cost at this one.

If you want a quick bite and don't want to pay a lot, then this place will suit your purpose but don't expect a special experience.

“Great bloody Caesars, food average.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

Really enjoyed the bloody ceasars, they were divine, the food was pretty average though, the chorizo burger was not what I expected and very dense. Service however was attentive.

“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

I was not overly impressed with the menu, found it a little scattered - they have no real direction or theme to their menu choices. I was not a big fan and could pay the same price somewhere else. Seems as though they have lost their touch, as it used to be better.

“Average”

Average tasty bar food. It's just not really that interesting. It has been a while since I've been and so it might have changed.

“Excellent and varied menu, pleasant staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

I have loved Mr. Greenjeans restaurant since my first visit in 1980, and it continues to maintain its high quality of menu, changing it to suit the times but always keeping the winners. The food is terrific, the serving staff very friendly and efficient, and it's located conveniently in the same place: the Sears end of the Toronto Eaton Centre. Perfect when your shopping sends you indoors due to cold or inclement weather. Always a fallback!
