“Good simple Italian comfort food for a good price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012 via mobile

I always go there for family gatherings and where you just want to relax and eat The food is very good "could be updated a bit" and pricing is very fair. If you're in a big hurry or want excellent service, then you will be disappointed.
Expect home made Italian comfort food, for an excellent price and having to wait for you're food just like at a family gathering. With about the same noice level.

“Cheap but not good food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I were trying all the restaurants in the neighborhood and decided on mamma Martina's one night.
I'm honestly surprised it rates so highly on here as the food is low quality which likely explains why it's so cheap. Too much salt, not fresh, likely canned sauces. As another reviewer suggested maybe a place to take picky young eaters but certainly not a place to go if you are looking for fresh, innovative fare. You could easily reproduce any of their dishes with a can of tomato sauce and store bought pasta.

“My Favorite Resturant!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

I have never ever been disappointed in Mamma Martino`s anytime I have gone. Well, may be once with the service but it was packed- so I guess I am being a little unreasonable.

The food is FANTASTIC and the quality is awesome! You get a bang for your buck at this place and good food to boot!

Anyone I have recommended to Mamma Martino`s have never been disappointed!

It is a casual dining with a laid back feel to it. Even the servers are very casually dressed.

If you love Italian food, then this is the place to go as it is home cooked Italian Momma kinda cookin!!!

Try to avoid Saturday nights on a late night as the line up is out the door, but I assure you, it is worth it if you do.

“Always Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

My wife and I have visited this restaurant frequently and we are never disappointed! The menu is down home Italian. The food is fresh and outstanding, and the service very friendly and quick. It is not a quiet romantic atmosphere, but a bustling, cram as many people in as floor space allows, type of place. It is probably the best bang for your buck that you will get in or around Toronto. If you go, be ready to wait in line. This place is ALWAYS busy . . and beware, it is closed on Sunday's!

“Great Down Home Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Mamma Martino's has been a prime destination for family style Italian food for many years. Don't expect a fancy restaurant and don't expect fancy food. Rather, expect down home comfort food and large portions! Yes, there is almost always a line up - but that's because the food is good and the prices are right. Look around and you'll see the place is full of Italian's having an enjoyable experience. That certainly tells me something about the quality of the food. So do yourself a big favor and try Mamma Martino's ... and come hungry!
