The friend we visited in Toronto suggested this wonderful little Thai restaurant. Located at Bayview and Eglinton, it's in a quaint part of Toronto with lots of choice for eating out. This is obviously a family run business...the service was great!
The menu had lots to choose from with specials and lunch combos galore. The vegetarian choices were especially nice...there was an option for non-meat eaters in almost every category. The food was very fresh and beautifully presented...and very, very generous. I had the mixed vegetable red curry meal combo that came with a choice of soup and a spring roll...delicious! Everyone at the table had something different and reported that their meals were equally as delicious. Almost made us want to go back for supper just to try a few other dishes that looked fabulous (there were beautiful full-color photos of some of the dishes).
The only complaint I had was the ice water...not sure why, but there was no ice in the ice water. Toronto, like most of North America on this side of the world, had been having a heat wave. Although not too miserably hot on the day we were there, real ice-cold water would have been greatly appreciated. Instead we got a tumbler full of luke warm water. It was generously topped up with more luke warm water but we weren't sure what that was all about...maybe their icemaker wasn't working...who knows.
The decor was very chic...simple, clean and very comfortable for such a small space. There was outdoor seating but the street noise and heat brought us indoors. We would definitely go back especially if they managed to get their icemaker to actually make some ice.
