“Best roti in the city!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2010

A fresh-made roti from Ghandhi Cuisine usually runs $10-13, spiced to order. That's a good deal for Toronto, particularly since these enormous dishes are typically enough for two meals. This is definitely an Indian rather than a Caribbean interpretation of roti, with selections including butter chicken and palak paneer along with a range of other meat and vegetarian selections. The rotis are all freshly made, creamy and delicious, with a shell that's flaky and tender. Gandhi has a dedicated following and is a destination spot on the Queen West strip. The only downside: they aren't open for lunch on weekends.

Best indian style roti of my life - the fillings are so rich and flavourful. The serving size will fill even the biggest appetite.

“Consistently tasty!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2009

So far I've had the Samosa, Vegetable Pakora, Saag Paneer Roti, the Butter Chicken with rice, and the Malai Kofta roti. All have been excellent!! I will continue to return and can't wait to order something new!

Just beware the spice level because they are spicier than you might think. This is in no way a complaint because I find them to be exactly what they should be. It's just that North American spice levels differ from Indian spice levels :) For your first visit I suggest you go a notch down from what you're used to just to be safe.

The restaurant deals 99% with takeout since there are only a few seats inside. I wouldn't really recommend sitting around because it's pretty busy there. Best to just take your food and run home to eat it!

I always have a place in my stomach for their saag paneer roti. A must-try.
