Dinner last night was really very average and out of the park when it comes to price/value/taste ratios. The staff were really lovely, apologizing for kitchen delays (it was not busy at all), bringing us some comp wine as a result. Lobster salad was beautifully presented, but lacked taste. The veal chop a little tough and vaguely gristly (for $35.00!) The wine list was expensive and not particularly extensive. We got the sense that there was a prima donna attitude in the kitchen, as if we should be grateful for the opportunity to be there. Too bad, this little resto could be and apparently was, at one time, outstanding. Dinner for four with one bottle of wine ( a Rhone for $74.00) - $400. Would be happy to pay if the food had been really good.
