Another great visit to Fred's Not Here. This was my third dinner in as many months, all of them with my girlfriend, who loves the restaurant. I have a severe shellfish allergy and the menu is somehwat shellfish-heavy, and I tend to avoid those restaurants. However, she assured me that this would not be a problem.
I am told that the baked lobster and crab soup alone is worth the visit, which she has tried and loved on each visit. I had more limited options at my disposal but still found at least a half-dozen very appetizing options. I opted for the 2-way pork, which was cooked to perfection.
The atmosphere is great for going on a date, as the restaurant is dark with appropriate lighting (including candles on the tables). Tables are not spaced too close together, so you are not subject to other diners' conversations.
Dessert was crème brulée (my favourite) and did not disappoint.
Dinner, plus two drinks each, plus one dessert came to just under $100, which is a great value.
Highly recommended; we are looking forward to our next visit!
