“Revolving view, great experience, food was only so so”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

The experience was fantastic, dining up high, with the revolving view, where else will you get it in Toronto? While knowing about the 'award winning chef' from their website, and admitting even the service was good, the actual food experience however was only so-so, we tried appetizer, seafood and steak, not too bad but nothing was too impressive.

“Amazing meal, even though I'm afraid of heights!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

I was forced to go here for a rehearsal dinner before my friends wedding. I am afraid of heights, and especially glass elevators, and was promised that we were not going to the CN Tower restaurant. Well, obviously they lied to me. But I digress.
The elevator ride up was simply terrifying. I looked at photos on my phone while standing in the non-glass corner. Luckily, the ride is very smooth and very quick. It was over before I could go in to full panic mode.
When we got to the restaurant the spectacular view made me forget my fear of heights. I even sat by the window and couldn't stop staring out at the city and the lake. It was absolutely breathtaking. And so worth the terrifying elevator ride.
We had a large party and the staff was very accommodating. We did not have to wait long for drinks or food. We had appetizers, main courses, and dessert. The seafood was unbelievable and tasted so fresh, like they had just caught it.
The prices on the menu were high, but the food and experience were high quality and worth the cost.
After we ate, we went to the observation deck. I even managed to stand on the see thru floor and look down. It was actually really neat. And I didn't pass out, which was nice.
I absolutely recommend this restaurant when you are in Toronto. The view is absolutely incredible and the food outstanding. Worth the terrifying elevator ride and the price tag.

“Great view but food doesn't quite match yet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

It's been years since I decided to return to Toronto's iconic restaurant at the top of the world famous CN Tower; in the past the view was great and the food was terrible. Some good news: the restaurant is much better than it was in the 1980s - better quality food for sure. The roast beef was nicely prepared, as was the seafood chowder. Others who had rack of lamb, salmon and steak enjoyed them. But it was not as good as it should have been - something just a little less than expected. Perhaps because it is a bit of a hike to get to it the elevators (difficult for the seniors who were with us), and felt a little hokey to have your picture taken by insistent cruise-ship type photographer before getting on the elevator. The tables are long so for a party of 8 it is difficult to have a conversation. But there is no denying the amazing views of Toronto at dusk from over 1000 feet as the restaurant slowly revolves...

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

We took my dad there for his birthday lunch - there were 8 of us plus two toddlers. The food took a very long time, was mediocre and then we were hit with a $750 bill!!! No one had more than one alcoholic beverage and get this - it was $30 for chicken fingers and fries for my two year old! An automatic gratuity was tacked on so needless to say the server did not seem to care about being friendly or helpful. The view is nice but will skip the restaurant and just pay to go to the observation deck next time.
