“Convienient & Cozy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

I stayed here for 2 nights on a recent business trip. The location is a very convienient downtown Toronto location. The hotel was reasonably priced and the staff was quite nice. The room was plenty big with a full kitchen, workspace and seperate bedroom. Cleaning service was great. I would stay here again next time I am in Toronto and need to be downtown.

I was a bit turned off by the crowd I saw walk out of this place on my way inn, but nonetheless - the location of this marriot is just perfect with king street west situated less than a minute walk away, rogers center and cn tower just behind, and ttc not too far off either. It was a night out with friends that led us to here. The room we stayed in was quite amazing decor-wise and space with full fridge and kitchen area (residence inn d'uh!). The pull out bed was not a very comfortable sleep with feeling springs through my back. In comparison to the one in Montreal this residence inn was much better. The view was alright - overlooking the CBC building and wellington street west. The breakfast buffet lacked variety of fruit, but nonetheless was quite decent with yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, pancakes, eggs, and really good potatoes that I tried. Lobby was very squished and more like a hallway (space-wise). Breakfast area was quite nice and like a lounge setting with fireplace (which did get me warm as I was feeling cold). The business center is non-existent with one computer to the side near the entrance. The service was nothing special other than what was needed.

We had the wonderful opportunity to stay in Toronto and we chose the Residence Inn by Marriott for the convenient location and services that they offered. The rooms were very spacious and extremely clean. The guests were invited to a social in the early evening where soup, salad and dessert was served. All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, going out of there way to assist us with directions and being helpful with storing out luggage for the day while we shopped. I would highly recommend this site for anyone traveling to Toronto. Close to Union Station and the bus station, walkable to all of the entertainment area.

Spent a weeknight here for a girls night out in which we arrived at different times and on a tight deadline for a show at ACC. The hotel front desk staff were very accommodating and helpfully passed along messages as our arrivals and departures times crossed paths. The room (10th floor) was cozy but had all the amenities. We indicated 3 guests in a queen plus sofa bed room so it would have been better to have had the sofa bed made up with sheets when we arrived, but we were able to find the supplies in the room and quickly make it up. Adequate quantities of towels and toiletries, which was great. Buffet breakfast included in the tab was hearty and expansive.. beyond the usual fare, there was a nice waffle maker, and tasty egg/cheese/sausage biscuits for handy takeout. There was good, strong coffee (plus all the healthy options). Full fridge and kitchen.. they'll do a grocery run if you need it. A good choice and not far from the main restaurants on Front Street and only about a 10-15 minute walk to ACC. Watch for sales (we got our deal through hotels.com).

I have stayed in several Residence Inn and Courtyard hotels in the US and Canada, and I must say this one in Toronto Downtown may be one of the best in terms of room design. There's a full kitchen. There's a sofa, and the bed is just so comfortable. The bathroom is also well-stocked. Really impressive.

Starbucks, Quiznos, and Cora's are all a few steps away from the hotel for that quick bite.

The breakfast is the usual Residence Inn fare and space/tables are not enough for the guests. So the area near the front desk can be quite crowded.

Location is pretty much downtown really, almost next door to CBC. But the nearest metro station is a 10 minute walk (King's). There are several taxis of course that the helpful bellmen would gladly call for you.

I have two hotel choices in Toronto and Residence Inn would be one I would gladly use again (the other is the Courtyard on Yonge).

I love staying at the Marriot and the Residence Inn does not disappoint. It was one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed. The location is excellent. Front line people are the best in the business. Even the breafast is a real hot meal, rather than a bowl of cereal and a bagel you get most other places. I can't say enouhg nice things about this hotel.

Make sure that you check their website prices day by day and hold them to it. The web prices differ between days and you'll have to call to get the cheaper prices on the proper days.

Stayed 4 nights. The staff where helpful as they could be. The check-in/check-out was fast and easy. The rooms very clean and roomy, well appointed. Free Wifi worked great. Breakfast was the same each day but still great for being totally free! Anyone who complains about the breakfast is just a spoiled brat, who expects too much! It's free!

The pool, hot tub area is small but very well maintained so far with lots of towels. The gym is small as well, but has everything you need.

We had issues with other customers letting their dog bark, but there's not much the hotel can do about that.

Room Tip: The higher the better . . . they put the riff-raff like us near the ground floor! The elevators are...
