“The ONLY place to stay in Toronto!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2005

We first happened upon Dundonald House by chance, when coming for Pride several years ago. We immediately fell in love with the place and its owners, Warren and Dave. They offer the right balance between making sure that your stay is perfect while staying out of your way and your business. There are so many little touches that set DH apart from other B&Bs: some of the rooms have a balcony overlooking the beautiful street, there is always free bottled water in the room (unlike the $4.00 some hotels charge for this), there is a full, hot breakfast, not just doughnuts and coffee, enjoyed around a table with the other guests (and the place attracts very nice and attractive guests!), hot tub, sauna, workout room, free wireless internet (instead of $12.95 charged by some hotels). The location is perfect -- a 5 minute walk to the heart of the gay village, and 5 minutes the other way to Toronto's wonderful subway system. We have recommended DH to other friends, and everyone has thanked us. We will continue to stay there any time we're in Toronto. I wish other B&B owners would come stay here to see how this business is supposed to be run!!!

For the past 4 years R and I have regularly travelled over 100,000 miles each year. We get to see more than our share of lodgings while on the road. Our best compliment to Dave, Warren and Dundonald House is that we book *exclusively* with them when in TO. Tree-canopied, Dundonald Street always feel sheltering. The House accommodations and appointments are welcoming, tasteful, and meticulously maintained. Breakfasting in the dramatic dining room, with other guests from potentially anywhere in the world, is a feature we gladly look forward to. Let's talk personalized service; I regard as *extraordinary* Dave's next-day scheduling for R's LASIK surgery at the presitigious Toronto Bochner Institute, and Warren's door-to-door arrangements for me to explore botox and Restylane with their personal friend and plastic surgeon, Nowell Solish, M.D. If you need more convincing, see how easy it is to travel between DH and Pearson International Airport on TO's impeccable subway. I guess you could make the hike on one of the DH 10-speed bikes, but then you'd certainly need either the sauna or hot-tub--or both--that Dundonald House guests enjoy. See you at DH!

What can I say - our stay was absolutely fabulous. Our hosts were very accommodating and provided us with a wealth of information about gay life in Toronto. The location couldn't be better - right in the heart of the gay village - yet astonishingly peaceful and quiet! We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts served daily and the coffee really woke us up for our long days' aventures in Toronto.

The house was spotless and had much to offer us in terms of relaxation and the sauna was used almost daily!

Thank you guys for making our stay with you one of the best experiences we've ever had! We'll be back for sure!
