“Rotten”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

We heard this place was ok so we decided to try it out. We ordered the village greek , tyrokafteti, chicken stick , chicken gyro and chicken souvlaki pita and greek fries. Let me start with saying most of the food was not edible. We had to throw out most of the salad as it was filled with tomatoes and cucumbers that had gone bad you could taste it. The tyrokafteti had a horrible taste I can't even describe. The chicken gyro was so tough and the pieces so thick it actually looked like cut up old chicken breast. The chicken stick was so dried up my son wouldn't touch it. The inky thing that was slightly edible was the chicken souvlaki pita. Coming from restaurant owner parents I know way food taste like when people take short cuts and serve old food and this is one of them. I wish the food here was better so we wouldn't have to make the dreaded trek to the danforth but sadly this place is not worth a vist. Please save your money and go somewhere where the food is fresh

“Amazing Food, Wonderful Service, Excellent Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

This is a hidden gem. Not located on the Danforth, it does not get the same traffic as the pretender Greek places on the Danforth, but the food and service is so much better, it is hard to describe it. There is no restaurant (Greek or otherwise) on the Danforth as good as Greek Grill. The Greek Grill is fresh, made by people who love and appreciate food, and the service is exceptional. They make everything fresh in front of your eyes, and the food is much better (and cheaper) than many restaurants which are much higher-end with higher prices. I would recommend this restaurant without reservation to anyone. They have a love of food and people that most restaurants lack. I can't say enough great things about them. I have only reviewed one other restaurant in Toronto (a negative review), so I don't review restaurants that often. This one is a gem worth raving about.
