Starting going to Kirei about a year ago. During the first two visits the quality and presentation of the sashimi was just awesome. The menu had some really awesome things. There are never many people there, which is a bit surprising since the quality was so good.
During subsequent visits however, the presentation quality has declined a bit. The quality of the food remains good and there are more people coming, which is a good thing, but the plate presentation no longer creates the "wow factor" of a year ago. Perhaps a change in chefs, and there is a new menu, so perhaps that is part of the issue.
The service has also become a bit less personal, but still okay.
Still good food for sure, but too bad it's not as great as it was. Hopefully as more people come the quality will get better.
