“Great Venue, will return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

My first and only experience with BMO Field was at a recent TFC (Toronto Football Club) match, which was also our first experience taking in Toronto's football/soccer team.

Venue is located just a few minutes walk from the Exhibition GO Station, and easily accessible from TTC Streetcar service as well. This was a plus as on the night we attended, there was a Blue Jays game and concert nearby so a convenient transit option is a must.

Getting in and out is easy and not too bottle-necked with amply gates and plenty of security. They do allow re-entry which surprised me, as one of our party was late and we were permitted to come back outside to meet them and re-enter. Strict rules on no outside food or drink, standard these days I guess.

Open concourse area with enough food/drink vendors and stalls that we never waited more then 2-3 minutes for a beer. Certainly not the cheapest beer prices, but also not the most expensive I have paid in a Toronto venue. $10.50 for a Medium?

It's a smaller venue, there was an announced sellout that was under 22,000 and that seemed about right. Also means there are really no bad seats in the place to watch the match. We were 2 sections from the corner and had a perfect view of our end and the action, and a fine view of the other end of the field. Plenty of passionate fans too!

One thing to note, as this is an "open" venue with little to no covered seating, you will get wet if it rains. They also have a strict "no umbrella" policy for security reasons so if your event is "rain or shine", bring a poncho or expect to get wet or huddle under the end stands with thousands of other people who didn't plan ahead.

Also, as the main sponsor is "Bank of Montreal" they seem to not be too friendly towards debit and credit at many of the food vendors and beer stalls and direct you over to the BMO ATM machines scattered everywhere. Not the end of the world, by the lines at the ATM's were longer than for the beer itself. Bring cash!

Great experience, would definitely return for another game.

“I'll Be Back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

My first experience at the BMO Field was the International rugby match between Ireland and Canada. This was a very good first impression. The size of the venue was perfect and the seating was great. The washrooms were clean and the beer vendors were plenty. Over all, this is the perfect place to host these games. We flew in from Halifax for the game and our city can use exactly what Toronto has.
The only issues is there is no mass transit to the field and no true walk up crowd because of the location. The VIP seat were in an end zone which is kind of odd. But in general, a great place to watch an event.

“Nice Stadium/Expensive Beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

Went last weekend for the USA vs. Canada Women's soccer match. Stadium was very nice. Great ambiance with the CN tower in the background. Seats were comfy and plenty large enough. The pitch was manicured excellently and it looked as if all seats had a great view.

The beer prices were extremely expensive. So much so that I could get a beer at Yankee Stadium for less. Other than that it was great!

We were just at the BMO Field to see the International Women's Soccer match between Canada and the USA (The Rematch). This is the first time we had been to this stadium and I really enjoyed it. The place is kept clean and it is quite spacious. The seats were comfortable. We had a clear view of the field (seems that was the case with all seats even if you didn't buy the higher priced tickets). I will be returning next week for the Men's Rugby tournament between Canada and Ireland.
