“Finally a great restaurant in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This restaurant recently opened and we were a bit apprehensive after the last one but to our surprise the food was excellent and the staff were courteous.

We have been here 4 more times so far since our first visit and every time the food does not let you down. The portions are good, the menu is diverse and not typical greasy pub fare. The owner is personable and the staff are always there when you need them with a smile

They have been getting the patio ready for the warmer weather and I for one can't wait to sit on that prime spot soaking in the sun, the atmosphere and eating their excellent food.

“With a patio, another welcome addition in the Beach.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

This restaurant is located in prime Beach territory, but the location has had a lot of turnover in recent years. The latest occupant is the Outrigger, where we enjoyed lunch last week soon after it opened its doors. The menu is varied, and the portions were decent. The food was good enough, but nothing spectacular. The service was fine. The pricing was OK, but not exceptional value. The decor is pretty, but again, nothing magical. I still give this restaurant four stars, though, because it is above average and maybe it just needs time to find its groove. For sure when the summer hits and a patio opens, this will make it even more attractive to us. We left satisfied, but commenting we hope it kicks its game up a notch for long-term survival. If I were to give it a few suggestions, it would be to somehow add some character to the decor, focus a little more on presentation, and for sure reduce prices with a lunch menu that can compete with others in the hood - Vivetha, The Goof, and more. Good luck, Outrigger! We hope you enjoy success!
