I can’t believe this restaurant is still around. It is so 1980s.
I’ve been there twice in the past two years, only because my office selects it for our Christmas lunch. Each time, for over $20, I get a cold steak with some fries. One time I hardly got any fries. More recently, they asked if I wanted garnishes with my steak (e.g., lettuce; tomatoes), I said yes, and got nothing. This cost did not include any drink.
Their two-card system is antiquated and archaic. I had to use one card to order at a food station, then use a different card to pay.
There lacks a system for ordering. I stood in one line for 10 minutes only to find out I should have been in another line (e.g., one line is for ordering; another for pick-up). The steak guy said to line up for to him for burgers, which was incorrect.
Worst yet, each year I’ve gone, they’ve run out of forks. It becomes a scavenger hunt looking for forks in their ‘forks’ baskets.
And the big, clunky, wooden food trays make you feel like you’re in a high school cafeteria. They take up space and get in the way at your dining table.
Unfortunately, if my office to chooses to eat here again next Christmas, I am not going. I would rather go to McDonalds! (which I eat at about once every 4 years).
