“Delicious fresh healthy food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

I had the $15 lunch special. The kale salad was of high quality, as was the stuffed chicken breast. Very tasty, with nice fresh veggies. Excellent value! Highly recommended, and I will be back.

“It shouldn't be that lonely!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

I have been there for several times and wonder why so few people eat here --- because it's really yummy!!!
I respect Chef Dan, who changes the menu every four weeks~ and even changes the fish every week~ All the vegetables and fruits are organic, and delicious!
Some dishes are really creative~want to go there again!

“An undiscovered Gem! Unpretentious, Wonderful Food, presented by an Artist!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

This is a Don't Miss place!! Went based on Trip Advisor research on first night of two, wound up going back the second night. It was empty at 5 PM the first night. Looks like a Hole in the Wall street place but don't be deterred. Menu (changes every 4 weeks) was posted outside and the three course dinner was only $25, very cheap for Toronto where food is Expensive. Warmly greated by Mrs. Dan (Komati), Chef Dan's wife. Night #1: Pan seared Quail glazed with Chard Pineapple and Perserve Ginger Sauce (appetizer), Red Grouper (fish of the day) served with Pomegranate and fresh Fruit Salsa (Entree), and Pomegranate Panna Cotta (dessert). Wished I'd brought the camera!! Spouse had the entree only of Sundry Tomato, Pesto and Triple Brie stuffed Pan seared Chicken Breast. They were incredible. About 8 others were eating when we left. Had to come back on night #2, our last night! Numerous other dinners when we arrived. (They can seat about 30). I'll avoid the details and include the photos of the entrees, you'll understand!! Food and service was equally Outstanding on teh second night!! Based on our experience, this is way underrated!!

“Great Food and Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The restaurant is located just west of the Eaton Centre on Dundas. It is well worth visiting if you are in the area for excellent food at a great price. It is a short walk from many of the hotels in the area. The atmosphere is very plain with simple tables and chair surrounding the grill where Chef Dan holds court.

You can order a la carte or the $25 dollar 3 course Prix fixe. The 3 courses (app, entree, and dessert)were unique, fresh, and tasted superb. The service was perfect. The menu changes every month. For apps, it was 4 selections : Quail, passion fruit and watermelon soup, salad and shrimp tempura with a fruit. I Had the shrimp and it tasted terrific with the tempura mixing with the fruity sauce.

There were about 8 entrees including a vegetarian pick. I had the veal scallopina with mushroomrs, vegetables and mashed potatoe. Absolutely divine.
For desserts, there are two selections, in this case mint ice cream or panna cotta. I had the the panna cotta, creamy and light but with a delicious taste.

I believe this is one of the better values in toronto for amount of food, how good it is prepared and taste, the variety, and service. It is not much for decor so it depends what you are looking for in a restaurant.

“Amazing lunch for unbelievable price.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

I was in the area and TripAdvisor suggested this restaurant. Three course menu for $15 and the food was fresh and delicious. Choice of several options for starters, mains and two desserts will satisfy any preference. Even more choices on the dinner menu which is $25. Very refreshing and unexpected, I will be back.
