“Bringing The Pub to a New Level”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

I have now had the opportunity to eat twice at The Oxley. Both times were excellent in terms of service and food. The beer selection as well as the food is very British and very authentic in the best possible way. those of you who think that British food is poor cuisine will think again after having the Duck and Potato Pie or the Venison and Kidney, not to mention the homemade crisps and luscious deserts. This is a place not to miss. The upstairs bar is cozy and the patrons are hip too! What's not to like!

“Nice addition to Yorkville.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012 via mobile

This is an upscale pub with a great menu that's a welcome change from the usual pub food. Beer choices are really good. None of the usual bland corporate offerings from the big multinationals (thank you !!!). Very comfortable rooms. Service is efficient but not welcoming. Didn't bother me (also didn't feel the need to tip more than usual). I will definitely return.

“Up-market pub atmosphere, good range of beers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We visited the Oxley on a business trip to Toronto and wished we'd had more time to go there again. The pie my colleague ate looked and was declared very good. The rest of us concentrated on the beers: the cask conditioned ones were cloudy and unpleasant on our visit, but the other draft beers and bottles we tried were very good. The Hoptical Illusion was a favourite.

The pub is not too wide, with a long bar and seating at the front, and a narrower seating/eating area towards the back. It was very popular on the Friday evening we were there, but staff were efficient, friendly and informative.

“Pub Food in Yorkville”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

I recently was told about The Oxley and have visited the restaurant twice in the last month on visits to Toronto. The restaurant has a great pub menu as well as a great list of beer on tap. On my first vist I tried the duck and it was fantastic. This week I had the lamb curry and it was great as well. Both times I had the sticky toffee pudding desert and inwouldmhighly recommend that you save some room at the end.

“What a great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012 via mobile

After such an awful meal the night before at Mortons, this was a real gem.

Service was excitable, passionate and really understand food.

A really good vibe, great atmosphere.

Food was interesting, really well executed and original (and very tasty).

Being a Brit, I'm not sure it categorises as an English pub? But a really supper night.
