“Loved their Soup and Chili”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

If you go, make sure you try the soup and chili in addition to their great sandwiches. My wife just raved about her chilled asparagus soup which was the perfect tonic for a hot Toronto summer day. The chili was very hearty and flavorful.

“Awesome Coronation Chicken Sandwich”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

I've worked in the financial district here in Toronto since 2000. The best sandwiches I've discovered while working here were discoveries made just this year (2012), the smoked meat sandwich at Longos (which is amazing!) and Brick St.'s Coronation Chicken sandwich. I've only had the half sandwich which is huge and only $4.00... ($7.50 if you want a whole one, but who needs it!). As described by Brick, its chopped roasted chicken, apple, apricot, almonds, in a light curried mayonnaise. Its on thick cut fresh bread. Only other thing I've had is the Steak and Stout Pie which is well worth the $6.00 but I eat it rarely as I can only imagine how fattening it is... but its sooooooo good too! Highly recommend Coronoration Chicken Sandwich!!!!

“A Superb Place to buy bread and sandwiches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

We frequent Brick Street. There are 3 locations: the Distillery, the Beach plus the one near us in Leslieville. Their sandwiches are peerless. Proof of that can be found each day around say, 1:00----they're all sold out by then, guaranteed. The loaves of bread and sweets are also very good. Two areas for improvement might be: a) arrange for Visa cards to be allowed (its akward to have cash always) and b) disallow the staff to place tip jars by the cash---thats just tacky and makes customers feel uncomfortable. *We should probably just walk our comments over to the owners: they live a mere block away!
